Sugat and Roshani are amazingly friendly and helpful hosts and the experience was above all my expectations. I could check in already in the morning after my flight and Sugat came to pick me up from the airport. As soon as I got to the accommodation Roshani greeted me with some hot coffee and I got a lot of tips what to see in Kathmandu and Sugat helped me to plan my trip to Pokhara. He also helped me with all my questions and even made sure my busride to Pokhara went well after I had left the accommodation. Making the booking was easy, the room was very cozy and clean with electricity, wifi and warm shower. The accommodation is in a more calm area of the city, and still Thamel area and the attractions of the city are easy to reach. I couldn't have had a better start for my first trip to Nepal, I felt more like I was coming to visit a friend. I warmly recommend this accommodation for anyone visiting Kathmandu!

This family of father, mother and their 21 year old son are great hosts. They are warm, friendly and interested but respect your privacy. If anything needs repairing, they repair it or have it repaired right away. They offer to clean your room and bathroom more often than they need to be cleaned. The house is in a very quiet area and has a beautiful, green garden with various fruit trees and plants. If asked, they offer valuable information about local resources and events. I was fortunate to have the guestroom with an attached bathroom. Many extra blankets are kept in the room's closet for the times the weather gets cold. Their WIFI was excellent and I was always able to connect my devices in their house. I normally wanted to eat elsewhere where I had eaten for the past 3 decades on previous visits to Nepal. However, 3 times Mrs. Shrestha made me healthy and tasty lunches. I was given hot Nepali milk tea anytime I asked for it. They keep large containers with purified water in their kitchen which I was allowed to access at any time. Since I had an evening flight, they very generously offered me a ride to the airport my last day. They were the most hospitable hosts I have ever had among the various Airbnb guesthouses I have stayed in. When I visit Nepal again I would very much be interested in staying in one of their guestrooms. I would highly recommend these hosts to anyone.

Amazing host! Rina didi and her husband were extremely accommodating, helpful, and so gracious to our friends. The rooms were clean and quiet. Our friends who stayed here were so happy with the way the host treated them.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The walk to Bouddha was delightful, with plenty of food options nearby. We had an incredible conversation with our host, Januka, who was very knowledgeable about the area. Her family was extremely helpful, and we truly experienced the welcoming, guest-first culture we had heard so much about. Although we didn’t get to do yoga this time, we will definitely be back here.

Babin is an extremely hospitable host. I only stayed at his place for 1 night as a transit to Pokhara but Babin picked me up from the airport and gave a good room with all amenities to have a good night rest. I also got a good breakfast in the morning and he called a cab for me to get to the airport on time.

Host is one of the nicest person and helpful that I have met in my travel stays. I recommend others to give this a try if you are travelling to Kathmandu. You will be definitely enjoying your stay here

The home was wonderfully cosy and felt right at home from the first day. It was really sad to leave after staying 6 nights here. Peaceful surroundings, yet also conveniently located. Easy for taxi drivers to find. BIA cafe is within walking distance. There were no power outages and drinking water was provided.

Nirmala and her Family are Wonderful and Kind people. I was blessed to have stayed with them. They went above and beyond their obligation to see that I was comfortable. They treated me like a member of their family. They took me to their additional village home and their temple outside of the city one day. I enjoyed the company of their family and friends. These are quality, people, and their home is close shops and restaurants, a ten minute walk. I spent time at Tergar Osel Ling for a program, and that was reasonably close as well. The price is right, and the company couldn’t be better. I would go back again without hesitation. Enjoy your stay with them. I certainly did.

Mahesh is professional, kind, and very resourceful, helping in any way he can to help you accomplish whatever you’d like to in Nepal.

A great project here in Kathmandu! It felt like home to be here and it was great to interact and be surrounded by students who are advancing their practice in hospitality. Very friendly, kind, helpful. Debendra was great at communicating, and very welcoming. It was nice to meet him and learn more on the project here. If you’re looking to stay anywhere, stay somewhere where you can contribute to the lives of locals. I’m definitely coming back. I loved the vibe here. Thank you and keep on the good work.

We absolutely loved our stay at Jennifer’s place! The cafe downstairs was a huge highlight and served amazing food and drinks. We had the homemade ginger tea about four times! The breakfast and coffee was delicious too. The Airbnb is in a really peaceful area but still very convenient to get to the main area of town if you need to buy trekking gear etc, which we did. The staff working at the cafe were so lovely and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. And the rooms were clean and cosy with nice comfortable beds. We’d recommend to anyone staying in Kathmandu and would stay again if we come back!

The apartment is great, very clean, really spacious and we had our own kitchen. It's not too far from the centre (Thamel) but far away enough to feel a bit more peaceful! We were very grateful to be looked after by Kalpana when we fell sick, she cooked us some lovely breakfasts and dinners and got us some medicines etc. Ram and Kalpana have a lovely family and we enjoyed being invited up to share food and see the children. We would recommend to stay here 100%. Thanks again Ram and Kalpana!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Soham's Temperate Ecotel in the heart of Thamel, Kathmandu, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! ✨ From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with the warmest hospitality. The room was Sparkling clean, thoughtfully decorated, and offered a cozy, peaceful vibe amidst the buzz of Thamel. The bed was super comfortable, and the facilities were just perfect – especially the beautiful rooftop seating area! ☕️🌸 Location-wise, it couldn't be better: - Garden of Dreams– just a 5-minute walk! 🌺 - Durbar Square– a 15-minute walk through colorful streets and local markets! ⛩️ - Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple)– a short 10-minute taxi ride! 🐒 - Pashupatinath Temple– about 20 minutes by taxi! - Boudhanath Stupa – a scenic 25-minute drive! 🛕 - Tons of amazing cafes, restaurants, and shops Getting around was super easy – taxis and bike rentals are readily available. The staff at Soham’s place were always ready to help with anything.

We had an amazing time at Babu's and Belku's homestay. They welcomed us as part of their family from the first day, offering help and advice with any issues we encountered, organizing trekking (day and week-long), and taking us with them for local festivities. They had great internet, video calls worked very well. The rooms had great views across the mountains next door or the green hill sides of Kirtipur and were exceptionally clean. We spent a lot of time reading and relaxing on one of the balconies or the big sun terrace. Before our trip we were hesitant whether staying with a local family would be too intense but we are so glad we decided to do so. You are free to move in the homestay as if it was your home, engaging with the family as much or as little as you want, but trust us you will look very much forward to participating in the family life, learning how to cook as amazingly as Belku does, learning Nepali with Babu, or just talking about everyday life with them. This is our second time in Nepal and only now we feel like we have experienced it for real. The deep insights into Nepali culture, cuisine, and daily life we got in this homestay you cannot get when staying in Thamel. You can visit Kathmandu with a short taxi ride but we were always glad to escape the busy city to the relaxing green rice fields of Kirtipur. It is not overstated to say our stay was a lifetime experience. We greatly recommend to stay with Babu, Belkin, and Aayush.

I stayed one month at the apartment. It is in a great location, remote from the main roads noise and dust. The room is very clean, it is exactly like in the pictures. The internet is fast, breakfast is great, it is a really nice place to stay if you visit Kathmandu, I would recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely loved this stay in the heart of Thamel - kathmandu's trendy district. The rooms were cosy and well equipped. There is a well decor'd rooftop space that it's super chill; we spent a lot of time there. Amit, the owner, was a fun conversationalist and we thank him for hanging with us. Thanks Amit for having us at our fun hotel!

Super comfortable beds, spacious rooms and most importantly, excellent hospitality! I was very comfortable at Tajaa Pha and I really appreciated how helpful my hosts were. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Kathmandu that is surrounded by local life and is not very touristy. Thank you for a wonderful stay! :)
