I don't even know where to begin to describe this wonderful experience. This was the first time in 15 years for my husband and me to visit Kangaroo Island, and the very first time for our 6- and 9-year-old children. Vivonne Bay was the perfect location, offering ideal access to all the places that captivated us, and we enjoyed every day in comfort. Adorable animals visited the ocean view throughout the day, and our children absolutely loved spending time with the cute wallabies and birds. Without a doubt, this has become one of our most treasured memories. The room was very clean, fully equipped with everything we needed, and we were able to stay comfortably without any inconvenience. Ian and Anne’s recommended handbook was also incredibly helpful. Even the meals at the nearby general store exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much!!

This place was amazing for our needs. Very well thought out house for families wanting to stay together but still have space. The surroundings were very peaceful and heaps of room for boats cars etc. Very close to town yet it was so quiet and the sunrises are amazing from the front deck. We will be recommending to friends and family and would definitely book this place again. Thank you to Tamara for the fantastic hospitality and flexibility 🙏🏻👍

We had an incredible stay at Ann's. Ann is one of the friendliest people you will meet and was very flexible re check in and check out. The place had a fully equipped kitchen and was cosy. The home baked honey biscuits and the welcome sign out the front were nice touches. Take a walk along the street and you have a very high chance of seeing koalas and kangaroos. There were a couple of afternoons where we could watch the koalas from the outdoor area as they were in the tree across the street! Emu Bay is a great and peaceful spot with a long beach. Be prepared, there are no shops. There is a great food/drink truck but that is only open Thursday to Sunday and I am not sure if it operates all year round. The biggest town on the island Kingscote is only a 15-20 mins drive away though and has an excellent supermarket and a few cafes/restaurants.

My family and I had such a wonderful time at Sorrento on Sorata! The place was super cozy and comfy, just what we needed to unwind and enjoy each other's company. Every morning, we got to have breakfast while soaking in a breathtaking view of the sunrise, and our dinners were made extra special by the beautiful sunsets. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and we even had some adorable kangaroos drop by to visit us! It was an unforgettable family getaway!

Loved staying at The Shack this week. It was the perfect base for us as we explored the island. We felt extremely welcomed and was exactly as described. The beach across the road was a perfect way to wake up and enjoy breakfast as we watched the sunrise. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy this slice of paradise again.

This is home away from home. Exceptionally clean, well equipped kitchen. Bathrooms squeaky clean. Walking distance to the beach and the shops. Certainly one of the best home to stay on the island.

Janette and Herb run a fantastic Airbnb. We stayed for 5 nights and found the place extremely comfortable and well provisioned with everything you could possibly need. Herb is a great host and gave us some local tips, and helped us out when we needed something. I strongly recommend this if you’re looking for accommodation in the area.

A true gem surrounded by abundant wildlife - wallabies, echidnas, goannas and beautiful birds. A 45 second walk to a gorgeous beach. Loved our stay and will be back soon.
