Staying with Jo & Mike over Labor Day weekend was the best decision ever! It was truly a home away from home. We wanted to get away for a relaxing weekend at the beach and that's exactly what we got. Their home is beautiful! Everything was super comfortable and immaculately clean. Breakfast was delicious...not even gonna lie, we helped ourselves to seconds! We loved that the beach was only a few minutes away, so convenient and definitely a plus. And the best part was getting to know Jo & Mike. I can honestly say we now have friends in the Outer Banks! No doubt their home will be the only place we'll stay in next time we're in town.

Wow, what can I say about Colington Creek Inn? As someone that books maybe 10-15 rentals on this app per year, I can’t recommend enough. During my stay, Darold was welcoming, willing to accommodate but let guests enjoy their stay without hovering (hard to report for most proper B&B’s). I stayed in the cottage, which had wonderful water views, steeped in privacy on their beautiful property. My last day, Darold sent me on to my 1.5k+ mile drive with some cut up fruit in a ziplock, an album from a musician that frequents—and even named a song after—Colington Creek. If looking to check out the Outer Banks, this is the spot to stay!

Great location - loved the outside area with the porch and pier. I loved watching the rain come in over the bay. Very friendly hosts and beautiful dogs. I'd love to return here one day.

We are so glad that we found this cute little gem to stay at in OBX! It is such a beautiful, clean, and up-to-date suite that is perfect for a little getaway. My husband and I and our two little fur babies felt right at home and enjoyed every minute of it. Everything was super clean. Shelli, the hostess, provided everything that we might need including sheets, towels, blankets, etc. Oh and a coffee bar, snacks, and wine. She responded immediately to any messages that we sent to her with questions, etc. There is construction going on next-door, but we were there for the weekend and they were not working so it did not affect us.I have already been recommending this place to my family and friends. We can’t wait to go back again soon.

I cannot speak highly of our experience enough. From the fast responses to the room we stayed in, to the location of the house, to the view from the house, this place is top notch. We will definitely be staying again! We are so thankful for the hospitality. We are so sad our mini vacay came to an end!

We visited for Christmas in Manteo, the boat parade, Elizabeth garden lights and Christmas events. Was a lovely family trip (Age 3 and 8). We met with Santa just steps away from our room, listened to the carolers and got hot chocolate. The charm always brings us back, truly a lovely place. Great walkability, surrounding shops, water views and pathways. The breakfast refreshments were perfect and the inclusive evening wine/cheese bar was a lovely surprise. Can’t wait to visit again.

Dawn and Darold were so warm and welcoming from the very start. The property is beautiful with gorgeous views. The room was immaculate and well stocked with anything you might need. Breakfast was delicious and the homemade evening snack was such a nice treat. We highly recommend this establishment and will definitely be returning the next time we’re in the area.

Lyn was a wonderful host!! The only issue was the somewhat limited restaurant dining without reservations in advance. Was a bit of an issue because there was no kitchen for cooking. The beach was gorgeous and we would definitely come back!
