Liz was an amazing host. She was super clear on instructions on how to get inside (which I am VERY grateful for!) She even included pictures of where everything was. The property was even cuter than it looked in the pictures. I would highly reccomend staying here!

This is my first time using airbnb and I'm so happy I chose to stay with Bill. The property is beautiful, the surroundings are beautiful, the airbnb itself is beautiful and feels so comfortable and at home. Bill was very kind and helpful when I needed his help with anything and he even put salt down on the stairs and deck to ensure my partner and I wouldn't fall from ice! 10/10 would absolutely stay here again 0 questions asked. Only downside is we did encounter a couple stink bugs and some big beetle bug looking thing but the intruders were handled accordingly! Haha! Best Stay Ever! Thank You Bill! 😄

Cathy & Larry’s place was cozy, clean, and comfortable. It had everything we could possibly need for a weekend stay, plus more. I would highly recommend this loft apartment to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Margie is an excellent host and I highly recommend staying here!!! It was our first time in the area/Chicago and she was so helpful in so many ways. Super sweet & felt right at home. She also made us DELICIOUS brownies and gave us some cucumbers from her garden. The space was so clean and spacious and comfortable!!! And close to the train station!!!

Easter weekend our son was playing baseball for Kankakee CC, so the area was perfect for us. The house was very clean and worked well for our small group. We brought along our exchange student so the small single bed area worked perfectly.

Our group needed a place to stay in a pinch that allowed dogs and was available last-minute. The host was understanding of our unique needs and super accommodating and flexible. The home was clean and very cute / well decorated!

Our holiday began perfectly, thanks to this wonderful country home! It exceeded our expectations and felt like a dream come true. The house was cozy and ideal for our family of five, offering a charming and authentic countryside experience. As this is a true country home, visitors should expect to encounter some critters and enjoy the rustic charm of older amenities. For us, this only added to the experience, making it even more unique and memorable. We loved exploring the property, where we saw chickens, Bengal cats, and horses. My daughter especially enjoyed the swing, spending every morning and evening out there—it quickly became her favorite spot! This peaceful retreat was exactly what we needed to escape the chaos of city life. Diana, we are so grateful for your hospitality and this amazing experience. We can’t wait to return soon!

House was in a great location loved the retro feel.

I can’t say enough great things. I did an extended 1 1/2 month stay and it felt like home from the day we entered. Everything was comfortable, labeled and easy to find, quality nice dishes, silverware, etc. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Two full size extremely large and comfortable bathrooms. Three very good size bedrooms. Look out the windows when waking up to see the lake as soon as you sit up. Anything that is needed, Steve and Marisa are on it. They even asked us what things we liked and were sure to have it for us. I won’t spoil the rest. But I have stayed in many AirBnB’s. This one goes above and beyond. They even had pictures in the house to make it feel lived in. Has a cute theme as well. I will definitely look this up each time I come back to Chicago area. It’s worth the slightly extra drive to stay outside of the city and get a nice view, yet still just be a short drive from downtown. Thank you both for the amazing accommodations and making it feel like?

Very nice little house. Comfortable for my small dog and I. Nice neighborhood, felt at ease walking my dog, met many very nice neighbors. Would recommend! Looking forward to staying there again in the future.

Magical place!!! Beautiful community! We just loved staying in the River here with our dog! Rhiannon was the best hostess. This place is stocked to the nines with linens dishes, bowls, pots, pans. You name it! We were able to enjoy the river and. The park is right next door so it was perfect walking my dog! The perennial blooms were making a show when we were here so again. Just a magical place! We will be back for sure. Thank you so much to the Ford's for doing it right!!!!

This is our 2nd time staying here and will use it again in May if available. Nice. Quiet. Clean! I loved the bathtub & shower. Wish the truck across the street didn't block driveway, but no control of that!

Beautiful location right on the river. My family loved fishing. Place was exactly as described, and the hosts were super responsive. We used the bbq, cooked meals and enjoyed our time together. Bonus was having two bathrooms! Would definitely book again!

I loveeeee this place.. carianne was very helpful and friendly . This place was so spotless, decore was perfect. felt right at home. Anything u might forget at home no worries, she has them. me and my spouse needed a weekend get away not to far from home this was perfect. we will for sure be staying here again 100000/10
