Outside has a covered patio, outdoor fire/furniture, fountain, native bush, farm, garden, beehives, friendly animals. Guests say WOW.

OCEANSIDE RETREAT

A beachfront studio unit sleeping 5 on the same large rural beachfront property as Penguins Retreat and Whitebait Cottage. The sleeping area of the large unit is divided into two so that the queen bed and the second area with another queen bed and single bed have visual privacy but the wall does not go to the ceiling We do not live on the property so this place suits independent travellers who have a car, wanting to spend time on a west coast beach. Only 3 minutes drive to Hokitika township.

Off The Beaten Track - The Country Cottage

Modern one bdrm, King Bed cottage in gold-mining Stafford. 10-minute drive from Hokitika, cafes and shops in the countryside. King-size bed & king single in one spacious bedroom, there is a separate lounge/diner/kitchen. High-Pressure Gas Shower. The carport contains a washer and drier with a clothesline nearby. Fast Starlink internet. Smart TV apps and Sky. Cell coverage is 1-2 bars, but activate wifi-calling on your cellphones for clear calls. Check in 2 - 9 pm (no later please)

On the Cycleway, Hokitika

Situated on the Westcoast Wilderness Cycleway 6km from Hokitika town centre my place is perfect for all independent travellers. The unit is fully self contained with it's own entrance and great rural views. The Royal Mail Hotel (Woodstock Hotel) is only 3km away and serves great pub food as well as their own craft beer in a historic pub with a lively atmosphere and views of the river. Town is 10 minutes drive away with a selection of good dining options, takeaways, bars and a supermarket.

Relax in our 1 bedroom apartment with large open plan kitchen, dining & living area. Bedroom has a queen bed & also a single bed. Heat pump, gas powered hot water along with Sky TV, Sky Sports, Sky Movies and Wifi. Smart TV gives you access to online content as well as Netflix plus more. 50 inch Smart TV's in both the lounge and bedroom. 2 minute stroll to the Glowworm dell in one direction and the beach in the other direction. A private backyard overlooks neighbouring farmland and native birdlife, flaxes and pungas to the north. Enjoy sitting outside and watching the Tui's eating the flax seeds in season.

This property has all the benefits of a rural getaway while remaining a convenient distance to key attractions such as the beautiful Hokitika Gorge and the West Coast Wilderness Trail. This former DOC hut has been relocated and completely refurbished to provide a cozy weekend retreat. Just a few minutes walk will have you in the heart of Hokitika, so close to our lovely cafes, restaurants, shops and the Hokitika beach. Straight across the road is Cass Square where many events are held throughout the year, including our famous Wild Foods Festival. The square also has a park for the kids, you can watch them from the comfort of your couch!

Sunset Cabin

Our "cool little" cabin is a very small, detached, cozy, private bedroom looking out towards the rugged Tasman Sea. You will enjoy your own private space, comfortable queen bed, beautiful sunsets, beach access, free parking and the convenience of a 3 min beach walk to Hokitika town centre. Bathroom facilities are detached from cabin and shared with the guests in our other cabin. Our place is perfect for couples and solo adventurers.
