Wow! if I could turn my car around and go right back to Miriah's place, I would do it in a heartbeat! We took our 3 kids for a quick Fall Break trip to Elk Rapids and we all fell in love with Miriah's place and this amazing little town. The house is a perfect layout for families, with lots of common spaces to hang out together AND enough sitting nooks for people to find quiet places to read and relax too. The kitchen has got to be the most well stocked Airbnb kitchen I've ever been to. Next time, I'll plan to cook more because now I know Miriah's house literally has EVERYTHING you might need to cook and serve a big group. The house was spotlessly clean, the furniture was super comfy and we slept super well. We loved walking to the beach, playing at the playground, watching people catch fish by the dam, walking to the shops in town, and enjoying the incredible views. This place exceeded our expectations in every way. Thanks for a great stay!

The house was as described. Beautiful fenced in back yard for dogs to run around. Beautiful view of sunrise over tge water. Nice private beach with dock. Very open layout. We were there with 5 adults and three dogs. When we come back to Traverse City this would be the place I'd stat.

I stayed in the house with a few girlfriends for a weekend trip and we had a blast! The house was very accommodating to a larger group. Colleen was very proactive with information before we arrived which made the checkin process a breeze. We will be back!

The Hawk’s Nest was the best stay! First off, the cabin was incredible! Thoughtfulness and attention to detail throughout the cabin. We stayed for just a quick weekend but wished we could have stayed longer and definitely plan to go back! Hosts provided a detailed list of all sorts of local recommendations. They also checked in and it was super clear that their goal was for us to be completely satisfied with our stay! We loved it!

Place was exactly as described. Perfect location for our needs and the ability to bring our dogs was a huge plus. House was spacious and well kept. Would stay here again

A peaceful and beautiful getaway! The cabin was a simple cozy place to hunker down in, while the lake and view was nothing short of spectacular. My girl even hooked a chunky carp while out fishing on a row boat! The place was heavenly in the fall time. Michael was also incredibly informative, letting us know about the nearby hiking trails (grass river natural area was amazing), and a nearby corner store that sells worms for fishing amongst plenty of other essentials. Would 100% return again, maybe this time during the summer!

This was a great place to go to reset and relax. The water was a serene experience and left us feeling awww’d Going to town wasn’t far to get needed supplies We look forward to visiting again!

As always, Shanty Creek did not disappoint! The view was spectacular, with full fall colors popping! We got to walk the Legend golf course several times, and the colors were amazing on that, too. This unit is cozy and absolutely perfect for a couple getting away for a few days. We would definitely return to this unit any time of year!

House was clean and spacious. Parking was great for car or small trailer, tight parking for trailers over 18ft in the winter. Mallard road is not fully plowed. Overall was great for my needs.

Becca’s cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway. Very clean, well furnished and super cozy. The cabin is right on a beautiful lake, which was frozen, but still fun to see ice fishermen. The only issue we had when we first arrived is that we had to shovel our way up the stairs to get into the cabin. Thankfully, there was a shovel thoughtfully placed by the front door by the hosts. While we were there we had considerable amounts of snow (to be expected given the time of year!) and when we needed the driveway plowed, Becca was extremely responsive and had a plow over to the cabin within 15 minutes. My family and friends really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend! Thank you Becca for letting us stay in your lovely home!

This may be one of my new favorite Air BNB spots! It is very comfortable and close to a lot of spots in Traverse City. The beach view was also very nice to look at. Kara is a great host and provided us with clear check in and check out instructions. Will definitely be visiting again!

We really enjoyed this place. The condo was extremely well maintained and clean. The unit matched the description completely. As mentioned in the listing, the condo is on a busy road and there is road noise. But honestly it wasn't a problem for us. The owner does include a sound machine which helps eliminate any road noise at night. We would definitely stay here again sometime.

Cannot say enough great things about this space and Michael! Amazing space. Fell in love with TC! Will be back....and definitely stay here!

We loved staying here for a little weekend getaway! Dorene and John were so helpful and kind. The place was awesome so close to everything! Everything was so cozy and well put together, the hot tub with view is awesome!! We for sure will be back

Melissa was a fantastic host and her place is beautiful! The location cannot be beat! The house is located directly across from the sandbar, there is a dock, a boat mooring, and a private frontage that was great for the kids. The house felt spacious and had everything we needed. The front deck is enormous and has a beautiful view of the water! Our only complaint is the trash situation. Melissa let us know the night before leaving that the trash man doesn’t take trash outside the bin. With a large group of people, it was easy to fill one garbage can and then some. We had a very difficult time finding a place to dump the extra trash and ended up paying a business to let us use their dumpster. Luckily we drove, but if we had flights to catch, I’m not sure what we would have done. For the price we paid for this Airbnb, it would have been nice not to worry about the trash. With that being said, the rest of the trip was wonderful, and we would absolutely stay here again!

We couldn’t have asked for a better fall weekend up north. The colors were fabulous and the lake was gorgeous. Ben and Alessia’s cottage is wonderful and has a prime location on the lake. They had all amenities that we could ask for in the cottage. All the beds were very comfortable and the living room is cozy. The fire pit outside was great to have a bonfire too. Everything was so nice and clean and there was easy access to whatever we needed. We had no complaints about anything and would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a great vacation up north!

We had a wonderful stay with our dog and two young kids. Beautiful location, full of amenities, and very comfortable. Shawn was very responsive, helpful, and had great recommendations. Highly recommend!

The house was very well furnished, yard was perfect for a nightly bonfire with friends and family. Close enough to town where you could easily get groceries, fuel, or simple go out to eat with no worry about it being a long drive. The house was located perfectly around multiple trailheads for ORV riding (within 20 mins). The only thing that I can say that was a downside to the rental was the amount of kitchenware. For a cabin that sleeps 10, there were limited plates, bowls, mixing bowls, and utensils.

The place was amazing and exactly what we were looking for. The group was definitely interested in staying there again next year!

The home is perfect for a family with children. Very clean, everything was great! I recommend to everyone! We will definitely come back here 🙂

Jason and Theresa's place is very welcoming, well stocked with the things we needed and communication was quick and easy. The warm floors were awesome and we appreciate the inviting feel of the downstairs. The gnomes out the back window were a fun touch. We were able to find everything we needed for cooking and really appreciate Jason arranging for a new microwave to be dropped off asap. Upstairs, the beds are very soft and they do sleep warm. The lake is quiet and calm and the property and trees are beautiful this time of year. We enjoyed our stay and the proximity to Traverse City and points surrounding was a big plus.

Wonderful spot right on the lake. Nice sandy beach with minnows that’ll kiss your toes. Plenty to do on the property and extremely well stocked with everyday amenities; i.e. kitchen utensils, full fridge, tons of towels, washer, dryer, and even a pack n play, high chair, kiddie plates and silverware. We had a blast and will for sure book again!
