Kagawa District, Naoshima: soggiorni in alloggi con lavatrice e asciugatrice

The staff at Uno Port Inn makes it a great place to stay. They are professional, interactive and were interested in our well being. It started when left our luggage there before we checked in. Mr. Minh communicated how to ferry to Naoshima and how to get around. Mr. Max checked us in when we returned from wonderful day on Naoshima and pointed out places to eat for dinner. And the restaurants were wonderful and we would readily recommend them to anyone. Messrs Max, Minh and Takashi provided an excellent breakfast before we another terrific day on Naoshima. It was nice that they had interest in our schedule and that it was doable. Messrs Max, Minh and Takashi made our stay really great! No regrets about not being to stay in a hotel on Naoshima.

We had an amazing stay at the Funaya inn, a very comfortable and relaxing house for an easy few days trip to Naoshima. Great convenient location without having to stay on the island and a highly relaxing setting. We would go back again next time we are around Naoshima.

La casa tipicamente tradizionale è accogliente e dotata di ogni comfort, pulita e arredata con cura in ogni sua parte: ci siamo sentiti da subito a casa e non saremmo più voluti andar via. Yuki è stata una host perfetta, amichevole e proattiva nel dare consigli sull’isola e su dove mangiare. Inoltre ci ha deliziati con un’ottima colazione per iniziare al meglio la giornata. La casa si trova a pochi passi dal porto di Ieura ed è facile spostarsi da lì per girare l’isola, a piedi o in bicicletta. Consiglio vivamente l’appartamento e spero in futuro di poterci ritornare!

Our stay at Muji Base Teshima II was amazing. Taka and his team were super friendly, helping us with bikes and showing us around the spacious, cozy place. Thanks again to Taka and everyone for making our trip so special! They also pointed us to Ichigo-ya, which had incredible strawberry sundaes—a must-try! Their hospitality was top-notch. Thanks to them, we had such a great experience at the Setouchi Triennale. We’re already planning our next visit and highly recommend this place!

Great and kind hosts, car transport to and from the bus/train station was a great plus.

I've been to Naoshima many times and Komorebi's accomodation was wonderful! It's a great spot, very close to the bus station, and down the street from a super good izakaya (Okonomiyaki Umikko) that is open in the evenings. It's halfway between all the major art attractions; about a 20 minute walk away from the Art Houses or Benesse if you feel like going on foot for whatever reason. The had super good tea/coffee available for the guests and I had a great time enjoying them with my konbini snacks. It started raining when I arrived and all of the exhibitions were closed as I also came on a Monday. But I had such a wonderful time resting, watching television, listening to the radio, and snacking in this little oasis. 10/10 experience!

Our stay with Ayu and her family was a highlight of our trip to Japan. Ayu is such a warm, friendly and interesting person, who made us feel at home, and we enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and Gin-chan the cat. Ayu is very responsive and helpful for local recommendations. The house and descriptions were all accurate. Thanks again Ayu!

Everything about our experience at Batonworks was well managed, thought out and considered. Rumiko’s associate, Aoi, picked us up at the ferry, remote control blinds and shades raised and lowered just at the right time of day or night. (They were also easily adjusted and controlled depending on when we wanted to take in the views of the island). The beautifully designed house is conveniently between the two main ports of Naoshima making it easy to both walk or ride bikes to both sides of the island. If we walked it was 15 minutes, if we e-biked, it was 7. Rumiko provides the ebikes. In the entrance hallway/ atrium there is a modern library with books on all things Naoshima and Teshima. There is a very efficient washer/dryer combo. Rumiko was the consummate host from start to finish. She was very responsive and helpful with all our questions and concerns--- I loved this place and hope to return again. Thank you! Andrew
