Booked the place for a day during Mid October. Temperature drops to -6 at night, but room has heater and heated blankets. Basic amenities were provided and bathroom was clean. Food can be order in the room/dome or you can go to the restaurant/kitchen and have it there. Place is 100% as described by the host. People who smoke will have to do it outside the dome( temperature does go sub zero at evening/night) as smoking is not allowed inside the dome(cigarette/hookah). Overall the experience was good.

We had an amazing stay at Folk Tales with Ishaan as the host. The property is such a thoughtfully designed space, with personal touches everywhere, and a huge collection of books, it can get cold so carry enough warm clothes. It’s truly an artist’s paradise and perfect for solo travelers looking for peace and inspiration. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the food felt like home, very reasonable too. They even made us sandwiches when we had to leave early morning. Lastly Don’t miss out on their homemade apple chutney, it’s absolutely delicious!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kuflon Basics! It's only a half hour drive from Uttarkashi (+ an easy 15 minute walk up from the road) but a world away. The exposed brick cottages are aesthetically built to merge in with the surroundings, and we were surprised to find rather luxurious rooms with a really comfy bed and electric blankets to stay warm on chilly nights! Our favorite part is the common lounge area (the hub), where we had some lovely conversations over afternoon tea and late evening appetizers, while enjoying the peace and quiet of our surroundings - a rarity these days! The view of the snow capped Derwa Range is breathtaking and the stargazing rock is perfect for reading and well, stargazing. A short walk up leads to the natural pools made by the Asi Ganga - a sight to behold. If you're looking to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature, this is the place (perfect for social distancing too). Highly recommended!
