Beautiful home and attentive host! Sam is very thoughtful and thorough. We appreciated the attention to detail and information on the house and area. Sam is easy to communicate with. We found the location great for activities in the Iron River area. The house is well appointed and comfortable. Perfect for our group of six. We loved the view from the kitchen and enjoyed the cozy TV room. Really liked the bed and bath arrangement. One consideration: our winter gear filled the small entry way as there is no real place for coats or ski gear. That said, we would definitely consider staying again! The lake during the summer would be wonderful!

Beautiful cabin with plenty of space. We would absolutely stay here again. The host was responsive and clearly answered all our questions so we knew what to expect. Our only noted challenge was backing a 44 foot race trailer into the driveway with fresh snow, but with some effort we got it in there! Surroundings are stunning, would love to see this place in the summer!

We have stayed here several times and we love it more with each visit. Mike and Amy have invested in their property and there are new updates with each year. There is newer furniture than what is pictured. The lake is so nice for swimming!!! And having access to all the kayaks, paddle boat, etc makes the stay so much more fun and relaxing. Sitting on the deck listening to the loons and star gazing is the perfect end to the day!

The Lake Cottage was exactly as pictured - clean, nostaglic, modernized amentities and loads of vintage charge. We booked last minute for a New Years Eve hurrah with my husband and two children (ages 3 & 8), and my only regret is not staying longer. We snowboarded, ice-fished, played board games, did puzzles... and simply enjoyed our time together. It was restorative and the cottage is conducive to slowing down and savoring each moment. The property (albiet Winter) was spacious and felt private, tucked down the long(er) drive with a single neighbor in sight. Elizabeth, the host, was incredibly responsive and helpful. 10/10, will probably book again!

Pristine, well updated cabin located in a beautifully wooded area. Very clean and clutter free, with a just-like-home feel! I did my evening run to Walgreens which was just 1.1 miles from the cabin’s front door! The roads were great and well lit to be out and about, and the deer were so pretty to see while out exploring :) Saundra was responsive and very kind; you can be sure you’ll enjoy your stay here!

April is great to work with. We have stayed here before and hopefully will again in the future. Great place.

We stayed here on a snowmobile trip. It worked perfectly. Right next to the trail. Easy trailer parking. It sits right on the railroad bed and has gas 10 miles in either direction. The apartment is clean and as advertised. Clean bathroom and plenty of hot water. Plenty of room to gather. 10/10 would recommend if you want to snowmobile in the UP. Trout creek is pretty central to getting everywhere.

We had a great week of snowmobiling out of Nikki’s Lodge on the lake in the woods. Our group of 16 guys had plenty of room to hangout comfortably, plenty of kitchen and eating space, and a great time all being together rather than renting 8 hotel rooms for the week. What a cost savings for us and was way better being together all the time. We snowmobiled out of the cabin to the groomed trails a couple of days, and trailered to Republic and Champion the other days. We had some phenomenal riding. We brought ice fishing gear for the private lake but not enough time on this trip, maybe next time we’ll fish either in summer or winter. The deer walking up to the back deck and eating out of our hands was an awesome experience as well. I would highly recommend Nikki’s place for a big group of family or friends. We will definitely be back again!
