Enjoyed our stay. The cleanliness and location exceeded our expectations.

We had a wonderful stay with our baby and 2 small dogs! Beautiful home in a great location! It had everything we needed and more. It was so easy to get to downtown Charleston and the ride was beautiful and scenic. You can also walk to two great restaurants: Paisanos pizza and for breakfast the Smoky Yolk. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend it!

What a dream! Beautiful location. Amazing views of the lake. Sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. Clean home with everything you can think of to make your stay cozy and welcoming. Our girls getaway was perfect. And we will definitely make plans to stay again.

The house is in a very nice location in a quiet neighborhood. It’s very well maintained and squeaky clean. The location is very good because you’re not far away from anything. We stayed at the house on a work trip so I didn’t cook much however I did fix my breakfast & the kitchen was equipped with everything I needed. Our host was very responsive and we will definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

Jonathan was a great host and really helped make our weekend great as we celebrated my Dad’s service to our country with the Honor Flight for veterans out of ILM to DC. Special weekend, great place, and extremely pet friendly. Having the pups made the trip that much better for us all. Thanks again Jonathan!

My family came down for the night and absolutely LOVED this place! The pool and hot tub were excellent and the house was super clean and the layout of the house was awesome. Jessica was extremely communicative and friendly. The kids loved it and the wife and I were very pleased with our experience. Honestly one of the nicest places we’ve stayed at.

This is a great place to stay in Sumter. Spacious rooms. Well stocked.

Randy's place will be the first place I look for on my return. He was friendly and very helpful to me finding things to do and see. His place was clean, and most of all very cozy. It was private with a small porch to sit and have morning coffee outside. Only a 2 mile drive to the ocean beach was a plus. Convenience grocery store right across the street. Awesome place.

We stayed in Robert’s private guest suite for one night and it was perfect, had everything we needed. The suite was spacious and a great and comfy place to crash before our early morning flight out of Charleston. Would definitely stay again!

Our second visit. Great view of the marsh. Close to restaurants, Brookgreen Gardens, Huntington Beach State Park, Pawleys Island. Driveway is right on Business 17 but property sits back and is quiet. Photos and descriptions are accurate. Hosts willing to provide tips on restaurants, activities. The state park pass is very nice. Stairs to the main floor and then up to the unit, so take that into consideration based on your situation. Nice recliners for watching the marsh or the TV. Hope to return soon.

Michael was a great host. He was very responsive and courteous. Even with my reservation being last minute, he did not hesitate to accommodate me and the space itself was beautiful. Thank you for everything !

. Our stay was wonderful, comfortable, relaxing and fun. We appreciated the fire pit and made s’mores.. enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool…The surrounding area was filled with a full day of fun things for my granddaughter to do. We stayed in the downstairs 2 bedroom unit A. The property is located not too far North from downtown taking approx 20-30 min to walk to the historical district. There is a small convenience store a block away and a very popular bagel / coffee shop right next door. Holey Bagels. This old home has been renovated with pretty colors, the kitchen and bathroom seemed new as well as the decor. As with any old home it has its quirks but it’s part of the Charleston Charm. The amenities provided are really nice, popcorn, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, laundry pods, dishwasher pods to name the basics but the attention to details like, q tips, cotton pads & ear plugs are what sets an airbnb apart and the details are all there at Rutledge Retreat. It is important to note that one of the bedrooms is on the street and can be quite noisy even at night, with the traffic stopping at the red light and the fire trucks going by, the provided earplugs came in handy.

This was just what we needed. Studio with comfy king bed and refrigerator/coffee machine/microwave. Designated parking spot in driveway. Couldn’t even hear the people staying in the other unit, and we loved that we could walk (~20 min) to the main downtown area. Would stay again!

Molly & Ben's place was so perfect for us! The location felt very private. The airbnb was extremely cozy, and very very clean. It was so nice to have access to Pawleys Creek; we spent alot of time early morning and at night just sitting on the deck watching wildlife. Having access to bikes, kayaks, and beach equipment was beyond convenient. Definitely my favorite AirBnB to date!

This is the true meaning of hidden gem, very private in a beautiful setting, both inside & outside the home. Highly recommend! The other gem we found close by was the Hampton Plantation State Historic Site. I've been to many plantations, and this one was extraordinary. Small fee to get in, due to State run, with HUGE impact on what life was like in the 1800's. The house is 10,000 sq ft (3 stories) and when repaired, the walls were left uncovered to see how it was built by slaves. The house inspired the actors & directors of the movie "Gone With The Wind", and the live oak in front of the house was saved by George Washington. So much history!

If your a fan of raw wood timbers, a 37 point buck keeping guard in the living room (i kid not, count them) and a crystal clear view of the night sky by way of the trail in the back, then this is the place for you.

The cabin was lovely and right on the river. We didn’t have much luck with the fishing unfortunately but that didn’t matter too much because we enjoyed how nice and peaceful It was on the floating dock. We also enjoyed the fire pit and the played a few games of cornhole that was available at the cabin. The cabin itself was cozy and no issues with cleanliness or odors as another review stated. In the photos the cabin looks pretty remote. However there are other homes/cabins next to it, so just be aware. The ones on either sides of us were empty while we were there so no issues. We loved the cabin and will likely be back for another weekend getaway.

Vincent and Judy are born to be hosts :-). From the moment they welcomed us to when we said our farewells, our stay was all that we’ve hoped for. They gave us a quick but very interesting tour of their property and were very helpful with various recommendations. We felt absolutely at home and welcomed. Our grandchildren (7 and 9) stayed for one night and they were also heartily welcomed by both hosts. Thank you Vincent and Judy for sharing your lil’ piece of heaven with us and to just be able to take a time-out from all the hustle and bustle. We can highly recommend Vincent’s and Judy’s place! Stopped on our way from MA to Florida. It was great, family was happy with the stay and accommodations. Water pressure in shower was amazing! Couldn’t have asked for an easier and nicer place to crash for the night! Thank you!!

Lorie was very kind, thoughtful, accommodating, flexible, understanding. She genuinely loves people and it shows. A true gem. The cabin was very comfortable and just what we needed.

Great location - walking distance to shops, restaurants, beach, but very peaceful. Great place - fenced in yard for the dog, well equipped kitchen, lots of space for people to hang out, comfortable beds. This is our second time staying and we hope to be be back.

All around just a great place to get away & unwind or stay for a treat while traveling for work. For whatever reason you decide to stay, it will definitely be worth every penny.
