This place is out of a fairytale. Extremely beautiful views, comfortable bed and wonderful amenities. The horses are so well behaved and cute as well! Hosts were super kind and just everything was so perfect. Even saw the northern lights in May! Can’t recommend more.

Daniel was a brilliant host, and we loved our stay there. He and Stefan were immediate and super helpful with their responses. The cabins are perfect, with amazing views of the scenery. The sauna and two hot tubs are great to watch the sunset and northern lights. The location is spectacular, which is perfect to unwind and relax in. We would highly recommend this stay.

If you are looking for a little cabin in the middle of nowhere this is your place! Well equipped cabins, comfortable (firm) beds. Dinner and breakfast up at the hotel were good, if somewhat over priced. Host was friendly and we were able to check in early which was nice after being in the cold rain most of the day. Recommend if you are looking for peace and tranquility.

Amazing stay! The hosts were very kind and let us tour the horse barn out first morning. They also recommended a near by horse back riding that was fantastic. The area is drive-able to great hikes, a spa, and many scenic areas.

We had a wonderful stay for 5 days in the cottage. The landscape was breathtaking, the photos do not do it justice! The cottage is equipped with everything we could possibly need, and very easy to get to by car. The outside hot tub with geothermal water was a lovely feature and fills up quickly. Within an hour or two from the biggest touristy places which was nice. We will definitely be back!

Sigrún’s place was perfect for our family of 4. In a beautiful, private setting just outside of Selfoss, looks exactly like the photos. It is small but had everything we needed for our short stay. In addition, Sigrún was very responsive and had helpful tips for a comfortable stay.

We had an amazing stay here! The host provided clear check in instructions and check out was very easy. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. It was lovely to watch the sunset from the decks and an extra plus with the property cat coming to visit us! Highly recommend

We had an amazing stay at the cabin! It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the hot tub is such a great addition which we fully enjoyed. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay! The home was very relaxing with a beautiful view of the sea right from the dining table. We saw a few seals and lots of varieties of birds. Kolbrún was very accommodating, letting us come 2 hours before check in time. It was pouring rain where we were traveling from so not conducive to exploring in that kind of weather. We were very happy to get in where it was homey, dry and relaxing.

Highly recommend this place. You can take a rest after long trip or escape from the city in peace and quiet place! There is everything what you need to spend the best time. The owners are amazing people friendly, nice, and they take good care of this house. This makes this place so unique. We gonna back there again for sure :)

My sister, my teenage daughter and myself spent five days at Edda’s place. It suited our needs perfectly. It’s right on the golden circle so easy to get about. We enjoyed the private location, great outlook and dark skies. We were lucky enough to see Aurora twice from right outside the property :) The house is warm, modern and clean. We cooked each evening and found the kitchen well equipped. All in all a great base to explore the South West of Iceland from.

Die Unterkunft liegt in malerischer Umgebung. Sie ist klein, aber fein - es ist alles da,was man für einen kurzen Aufenthalt braucht. Die Gastgeberin ist hilfsbereit und sehr gut erreichbar, der Hot Tub und die Sauna am Haus standen uns zur Verfügung und es wurde sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung 🥰

super ruhig an einem See gelegen. mit dem Mietwagen kann man von dort aus einige tolle Attraktionen erreichen. Gerne jederzeit wieder! Eine Notiz am Rande, die Küche ist rudimentär ausgestattet ( ohne Herd) dafür aber mit Grill im Garten. super bequem, super cozy...

Wat een heerlijke plek! De cabin was knus en stijlvol ingericht, met oog voor detail en een gezellige sfeer waar je je meteen thuis voelt. Het uitzicht was simpelweg adembenemend. De ligging is ideaal voor wie de natuur wil intrekken: van watervallen tot zwarte stranden en andere IJslandse toppers, alles ligt op rijafstand. Maar dé absolute highlight voor ons was de gletsjerwandeling – wat een unieke ervaring! Iets wat we niet snel zullen vergeten. Een plek die we met veel mooie herinneringen achterlaten – en waar we met plezier nog eens naar terugkeren!

Ragnar is one of the most friendly people you can meet. He can tell you interesting stories about growing up in the area. The cottage is small but has everything you need. The location can't be beat, walk out the door early or late in the day to eliminate the crowds on the beach.

Wahnsinnig schönes und ruhiges cottage, ein Schmuckstück! Die Ruhe genießen wenn man auf der Terrasse im Hot Tub liegt ist großartig. Wir konnten sogar die Nordlichter sehen. Ein Trip den wir nicht vergessen werden, vielen Dank!

My friend and I stayed here the last night of our Iceland trip and we had an amazing time. Einar and Thora were wonderful hosts and I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Iceland if you want a wholesome experience. They were lovely to talk to and made us feel right at home. We saw the northern lights from their patio which was the highlight of our trip!!!
