Gunnu Hús by Meðalfellsvatn ( Our lakeside cottage nestles at the foot of Medalfell mountain and the garden leads right down to the lake. The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.

The property is a modern 4-bedroom villa on the bank of lake Apavatn & river Hólaá. Kayaks, fishing poles & permits included for guests. (Fishing is only permitted during summer). The cottage is located on a farm, Kalastadir, only 55 km from Reykjavik. It can house up to 6 people. It´s close to the sea and you can see the seals play along the shore. There is a free WIFI and on the veranda is a private hot tub where you can soak while enjoying the view. It´s close to Glymur, the tallest waterfall in Iceland and the shore where the seals are. Since there is no light polution here as in towns and Reykjavík, it´s a good place to watch the Northern Lights.
