The Loblolly Lodge was built by Frank Taylor as a gathering place for his family around 1940. Remodeled in 2018, it now boasts of all the modern conveniences for a great getaway. With 2400sf of indoor living space & a 640sf covered back porch there is plenty of space for several families. The Lodge is nestled on 11 private wooded acres adjacent to Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area in the Davy Crockett National Forest which offers fishing, swimming, picnicking, and hiking for a small entrance fee.

Cozy, country-style retreat just minutes from town. Occasional exterior traffic noise, but quiet and peaceful inside. Enjoy the covered front porch with a cedar swing and a fire pit out front. Kitchen includes full-size fridge, two-burner stove, microwave, toaster oven with air fryer, and Keurig. Bathroom with shower is tucked under the stairs. Rustic, comfy bedroom upstairs. No pets, no smoking. A perfect spot to relax and recharge close to everything.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This rustic yet modern cabin is situated on 100 acres but conveniently only 2 miles off of Highway 79 in Oakwood. It is surrounded by large ranches on all sides. No neighbors in sight. Sit on the front porch and watch for wildlife or have a visit with our livestock which could range from goats, horses or cattle. This is our first rental property and we are excited to share this well thought out cabin.

Along with relaxing with nature and enjoying the family farm of goats, chickens and our donkey Biscuit.

This property is fun for the whole family and offers everything you need for a great vacation!
