Hoosier National Forest: soggiorni in baite

We stayed here for Derby weekend and couldn’t have been happier with it. Only thing we wished was different was a longer booking! Beautiful views of the Ohio River and very peaceful environment. Darlene was great with communication and instruction. Would recommend this stay to anyone looking to get away from all of the city commotion.

We came to the cabin for spring break from Michigan with our son who has special needs. The cabin is beautiful, and the view of the Ohio River is fantastic! We loved the layout, and having two bedrooms on the same level was perfect for us. Everything was very clean and well stocked. It was also so helpful to have a washer and dryer on site. We knew ahead of time that the area was rather remote and a little far from a major town, but we liked that. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Just what we needed. Tammy was very responsive and great to work with. We would highly recommend her cabin, and we hope to come back sometime soon!

Logan and Shay were the perfect hosts - the cabin was exactly as advertised and more! We will be visiting again and highly recommend this cabin for a nice getaway in southern Indiana.

Beautiful cabin! Plenty of space and everything we needed for a weekend stay to celebrate an 80th Birthday in French Lick with family. Brady is an excellent host and we felt like we were home away from home.

Beautiful, secluded, tranquil, comfortable. Tyson communicated well and followed up frequently. Everything we needed was available. Will definitely recommend and return!

Spacious cabin in the woods! Great place to stay if you're coming to enjoy the Lake.

I had two adults and four high school fishermen for the Indiana HS state fishing championship. We had room to park both trucks/boats, the boys loved the hot tub after some cold days on the lake, and this cabin fit the needs for our stay.

Definitely a “even nicer than the photos” location. Favorite part was relaxing on the 2nd floor balcony with a book, coffee, and sun rising over the lake. Very peaceful and my three boys loved the yard, hot tub, and variety of board games provided. It’s a cabin, but one of the cleanest cabins we’ve ever stayed in. Nearby Marengo Caves (take both tours) are a great experience. Overall, highly recommended.

This place was so cute and we could tell a lot of love went into it. We only got to stay one night and it rained and snowed. We’re hoping to visit again in the spring or summer when we can enjoy her backyard and porch swing!

Cabin was beautiful and clean we felt right at home. Lots to do in the area. Very peaceful stay. Tim was very nice and helpful.

Lovely cozy stay. The area is not isolated but so quiet and peaceful. Coffee on the deck in the morning listening to trees rustling and birds chirping. Kelvin was very nice and welcoming. The bed upstairs is so comfy. The fire pit was perfect. Some new chairs would be great to allow for more seating. Wood provided. The big table was great for an evening dinner outside. Would love to come back again.

Stayed for work, will be back for pleasure. This place is absolutely amazing, the only neighbors you hear are the turkeys. I can’t put into words how much I enjoyed this stay. It was everything and more

The Toasted Marshmallow was quite idyllic. So much so we canceled dinner plans at 1875 to hang out around the fire pit the last night. The amenities were wonderful. The s’mores kit was a wonderful touch. The mattresses were firm but comfy. So quiet and cozy. Felt very relaxed and secluded yet close to great restaurants.

Had a really great weekend trip here with my dad. I wouldn’t call it “glamping” as it is very remote and not exactly luxurious as the term suggests. The privies are pretty much unusable, but they have a great shower/bathroom trailer nearby. Unfortunately, the AC was broken when we went, so it was extremely hot inside. If you’re not used to camping and being in the middle of nowhere, I’d choose a different place. There was also a wedding during our stay, which made it a bit uncomfortable to use the bathroom as it was right next to the wedding barn and pretty loud throughout the night. Would’ve been nice if we could have been told about this beforehand. Otherwise, we loved it here. Nice to see all the animals as well.

We absolutely loved this place! Everything was clean, and ready for us when we got there. Billie was absolutely wonderful!

This was a beautiful cabin, beautifully decorated, comfy and cozy. Pretty much everything we needed was provided. Owners were also friendly and accommodating. We truly enjoyed our stay there!

He was wonderful when we spoke. explained everything in detail. it's such a quiet peaceful place. no fuss if you don't mind mind the off grid stay. the kids ran and played outside and we cooked on the grill and fire pit. there's a cave nearby we visited that was really cool and the kid's had fun. love that there is no TV or service for phones. I actually talked to my children instead of them on there electronics. we went fishing at the lake nearby and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. can't wait next time though just the hubby and I will stay for the alone time. The kids are already asking to come back! pro tip.... bring a radio for some music thats battery powered, and pack food in paper or plastic so it's easier to burn. I regret not staying longer.... Have fun and spend real family time together!

This snug cabin in the Hoosier National Forest hit all the right notes for our winter family getaway! With Paoli Peaks just a short drive away, it was the perfect home base for teaching our kids to ski. After long days on the slopes, nothing beat returning to the cabin's private jacuzzi to soothe tired muscles. The layout is just right - two bedrooms on the main floor, plus a cozy loft space that the kids loved. Gathering around the wood-burning stove in the evenings, sipping hot cocoa and sharing stories about our ski adventures, created memories we'll cherish forever. The hosts thought of everything, from well-equipped kitchen to outdoor amenities (great for non-ski days!). It's the perfect size for a family - not too big, not too small, but just right. Whether you're hitting the slopes at Paoli or looking for a cozy forest retreat, this cabin delivers. We'll definitely be back for next ski season!

Great country getaway, so peaceful and walking distance to the lake for some fishing.

The cabin was great! Remote and peaceful yet a very short drive to French Lick. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Spencer was a great host - helpful and quick to reply. Would absolutely recommend the cabin!

This stay was perfect for a weekend trip. Smaller, quiet, and away from the cities. A cup of coffee on the screened porch while it was raining was an added plus.
