This beautifully renovated home sits on 5.5 acres with an acre pond. Conveniently located near I-55 & I-12 and about 5 min. from S.L.U. & downtown Hammond. Harper's Haven is about 30 min from Baton Rouge & about 45 minutes from downtown New Orleans. Sleeps 6, offering a King size bed, & 2 Queen beds. The kitchen is fully equipped including a Keurig. There is also a laundry room with a washer/dryer & utility sink. Enjoy grilling or relaxing on the patio, or fishing and kayaking in the pond.

Lots of family history here going all the way back to WWII. 1 bedroom with queen size bed, small laundry room, queen size fold out couch, pots and pan, dishes, microwave, stove and refrigerator with ice maker. Super fast high speed internet. Roku tv's. Peaceful front porch with rocking chairs and very tranquil view.

Please read detailed description of property before booking. Set in a 22 acre parcel on the Natalbany River 6.5 miles from downtown Hammond. Enjoy nature with a walk along the trail from house to river. This building has been built with mostly reclaimed, reused and upcycled materials. The rustic interior walls are clad in huge boards milled on the property after Katrina damage. Note the unusual shower with handmade tiles. There are other unique structures on property.

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. Close to highway, the university, and 40 minutes to either New Orleans or Baton Rouge airports. Studio apartment with convertible twin futon. 3-4 people sleep comfortably. Owner close and happy to leave you alone or help you with various things to make your stay fantastic! The Blue Heron Guest House is a great place to just get away, enjoy nature, canoe (provided), fish the pond or the bayou, birdwatching (lots of birds), etc. The property does have a boat slip and a small boat launch for those who want to explore the area by boat. Bayou Manchac connects to the Amite River nearby. We can’t wait to share our paradise with you!

This home is a quaint, waterfront oasis, with space to enjoy friends and family inside or outside. It is just minutes by foot, car and/or boat to restaurants, bars and many water events. With prior notification to host you may have full access to onsite boat slip. Depending on size of boats slip can host up to 2 boats at one time. Come and see why this is OUR happy place, and it could quickly become your happy place.

Baton Rouge Guesthouse

Cute little Baton Rouge guesthouse just a short drive to mid-city restaurants, shopping, City Park, downtown, and LSU. This space is filled with local art and located in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The guesthouse is fully detached from the main home on the property and has full use of the driveway with gated parking. There is a small patio area in the back with lights and a picnic table.
