This fascinating small castle is close to the River Tummel, where you can fish for trout in season, and is full of character with a view over the river to Schiehallion mountain. Down by the riverbank there is a bonfire site where you can gather fallen branches and sit around the camp fire of an evening with family and friends. The garden is unenclosed so, being close to the river, small children should be supervised at all times. Dogs should be supervised when outside. There is a lovely walk along the river to the first hydro electric dam built in Scotland in the 1930s.

Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat, 9-5pm). You’ll love my place because of privacy of having your own country retreat within beautifully landscaped gardens. My place is small with one bedroom that contains either x2 singles or zip&link super-king size bed. The 3rd guest is on a roll-away mattress ideal for a child.

My unusual holiday home is part of the unique Bridge House built over the River Ardle in k1881. It has recently been renovated to a warm and cosy standard! Charming original features including stone spiral stairs, traditional Scottish timber clad walls, brick and pine flooring. All mod cons including wifi & smart TV. Quiet, peaceful and rural location. Our cosy top floor apartment is an excellent choice for romantic adventure during the day and relaxation at night time. You can catch a glimpse of the world famous Loch Ness from the large window overlooking the Caledonian Canal towards the Great Glen. You can use a shared, heated indoor pool with sauna and steam room. There is also a gym, tennis court and Club Lounge where you can enjoy a game of snooker, some quiet time or to mingle with new friends!

On the top floor of The Abbey via the stone staircase, a unique and private location, with views to Loch Ness and the beautiful Cloisters for your holiday or short break at the Highland Club. As you enter the apartment the small bedroom with 2 single beds is right in front of you, children love this room. The property sleeps a maximum occupancy of 7 people with the use of 2 sofa beds.

The flat is located on the ground floor of the castle overlooking the front lawns and the sea There is also a deep Victorian pedestal bath – perfect for soaking in after a hard day’s fishing or walking. The kitchen houses what was once the castle strong room, complete with a solid steel door.
