Hermosa Beach: soggiorni in cottage

This was our third trip to Darrell’s place in 2 1/2 years. We just can’t get enough! Each trip we add another night to our stay. We’re already checking our schedule for a trip back in October! This guest house is a tiny home, packed full of everything you need. We enjoyed cooking on the little two burner stove top, extra blankets for lounging around on the outdoor bed, mini fridge holds a lot, toaster oven, space heater for the chilly evenings, tv with cable and WiFi. Our favorite thing about this place is the feeling we get when we’re here. We’re instantly at peace. It’s calm and serene. We enjoyed working on crafts at the picnic table under the trees, listening to the deep wind chimes resonate throughout the property. Birds and other wild life are active and brought life to the experience as well as the flow of the many water falls. Darrell is really friendly, and generous. We’re so grateful that he offers this space to us to rent. Looking forward to our next visit!

We had the BEST time at Chase’s place. We loved the island itself, but felt very lucky to find such a fun and personable place that was full of character and wonderful amenities. We loved the hot tub, the beach items, the games, the office capabilities, the yoga items, the great water pressure, and on and on. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Chase!

Let’s just say we didn’t want to leave. Tom was great super friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Location was amazing only second away from the beach, with bikes the host provided. The house had everything we needed and even toys for the kids. Definitely family stamp of approval.

MK is a fantastic host! Her place is in a wonderful, central location that allows you to easily get around LA which is saying a lot as LA can be a tough city to get around in. The home matched the description and photos. MK was very accommodating, flexible, kind, and responsive - thank you for a great stay!

This cottage is AMAZING ! My husband, my two German Shepherds, and I came to SoCal for a last minute trip and booked this place while on the road. Once booked, the hosts immediately sent us communication to express their thanks for booking and share info regarding our stay. The hosts were very communicative, which helped for a smooth stay. We were very pleased with the cottage and a few highlights include a SQUEAKY CLEAN place, comfy bed + pillows & futon, SO much space for a cottage, a BEAUTIFUL bathroom with clean linens, a nice shaded patio (our dogs loved enjoying the weather outside), and a peaceful private location. We travel to SoCal often and will keep this cottage saved for future trips ! Thank you hosts for opening your beautiful space for us to enjoy ! We had family staying in nearby hotels and they were JEALOUS of our stay ! 10/10 recommended !! ✨

My daughter and I had a fantastic stay. Everything was as described, and we felt completely at home. The location is perfect - quiet and safe. I enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and checking out all of the beautiful houses. The bungalow was very well-equipped with everything we needed. My only issue (which was only mine) was that cabinets were really high up for me (I’m only 5’0), but wasn’t an issue for my much taller daughter. The patio was also a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather we had. We will definitely stay here again when we’re visiting So. Cal.

Wonderful stay. Wanted to get away from LA and have a nature focused time with my dogs. Felt right at home. Perfect little cabin!!

Nicely laid out space. Plenty of room for 4 people and 2 dogs. All surfaces were clean and easy to clean. So many toys to use for the beach. Bikes, boogie boards, chairs and a wagon. Made it so much easier to pack. Great to have a laundry space. Parking was easy. Entering the place was easy. Ernie was very communicative. Loved the place. Will. Be back.

We've stayed in a few different places in Venice over the years, and this is by far our favorite. It's a perfect space - well decorated with cool furniture, and every room felt just the right size. The kitchen was great, really well organized, and the bathroom / bathtub was clean and lovely (loved the bidet). Internet was fast and reliable, great for working from home like I did (and there are also tons of places - restaurants / cafes - to work out of nearby). Walking distance to my favorite gym, Barry's Bootcamp, as well as the grocery store. Great for kids because of the bathtub and the fenced in front yard. Would love to stay here again on our next visit!

Unique little spot with amazing views. We were even able to get a bit of hiking in - Lisa gave us the inside scoop on how to walk from our lil trailer to the Topanga State Park trails. We spent some time in LA as well as Oxnard to go whale watching - couldn’t have been better situated to access all the good stuff and take some scenic drives (if you’re into that sort of thing). We are into that sort of thing. Well worth the money just for the atmosphere and nature (fell asleep to the croaks of the local frog population) though we didn’t see any. Comfy beds and restful sleep. Thank you!

We had a great time at Scott's place! It was a very cute cottage that was very peaceful. Location is excellent, with great dining options and the beach both very close by! Scott is a very responsive and excellent host. Would highly recommend!

I’m so glad to find such a lovely home away from home when I visit my daughter’s family in South Pasadena. The cottage is adorable! I love the original features like the wooden floors and push out windows. This cottage is behind the main house, but is surrounded by lovely courtyards. It felt very private. Kitchen was well-equipped and beds were comfy. And waking up to the sound of the rooster on the property was a bonus for this city girl. It’s an easy walk to the little town of South Pasadena (just a few blocks), where there are many restaurants and shops. There’s a fun farmer’s market on Thursday evenings just up the street. I arrived on Thursday, so I was able to pick up some things there for my stay. A grocery store and Trader Joe’s are also within walking distance.

Amy’s place was perfect for my visit to LA. Well located in Glendale, it was an easy walk to grocery stores and restaurants. I took Lyft/Uber to visit friends in nearby neighborhoods like Echo Park, Burbank, and Highland Park—Glendale being fairly central made that super convenient. The guest house was well equipped and had everything I needed. Amy was really friendly and responsive. Would totally recommend!!

We had a wonderful stay at Christina’s home! She was so kind and helpful. We felt right at home. She also offered local suggestions for us. We will definitely stay again when visiting Orange.

stayed for proximity to Dodgers Stadium. beautiful historic home and neighborhood. Didn't use it, but metrorail station is a short walk away. Parking was fine on the street out front. Nice park for running or walking nearby. Grocery, fast food and restaurants all within walking distance. would certainly stay here again.

We enjoyed staying at Hanne’s place. The studio is cute, clean, and private. The back garden is lovely. We sipped tea at the table and chairs in the morning or sat on the grass. The location is ideal. A few blocks to great restaurants. Lovely teas are provided but no coffee, though there is a coffee pot. There are 2 single beds, so my boyfriend and I pulled the mattresses together on the floor at night to make one bed.

I had a perfect stay at Kathryns place. Kathryn was a wonderful host, communication was great and anything i needed was answered straight away. The cottage was very comfortable and super clean. It was very well equipped with everything you could need. The bed was very comfortable also. Kathrys place is perfectly located, it it in a nice quiet neighbourhood and yet only 10 mins cycle from the beach and shops. I found the bike that was available to use really handy, I used it every day! I will be returning to Huntington beach next year and will definitely be returning to stay at Kathryns place.

The first steps inside this cottage you knew that the host had thought of everything. The place was handsomely furnished with bright and cheery colors. The place was immaculate. Well stocked with everything you would need to cook a great meal or simply having your morning coffee and toast. The cottage has beach chairs and beach towels. It only a quick 3 block walk to great restaurants and the beach. Try the Sugar Shack for breakfast. Sitting in the patio by the fireplace was a favorite of mine. Very quiet and peaceful. The host Mike greeted us the first day and keep in contact with us during our stay. Very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

what a wonderful stay! beautifully appointed with EVERY amenity we could want--we loved the soothing sounds of ocean and stream! our cottage was cozy, yet thoughtfully planned with unbelievable spaces for all our things. Brenda's cottage is so conveniently located to all, yet nestled in a quiet neighborhood with ample street parking. this might be our best Airbnb experience yet--hoping to stay again on our next visit to the Santa Ana area! mahalo Brenda!
