60ft narrowboat, sleeps 6, central Oxford

Beautiful 60ft traditional narrow boat on the river, 240v is only available when the engine is running. We have wifi and external cctv. It is clean, warm, safe and has a chemical boat loo. The beds are all very comfortable and consist of one main double & bunk and one sofa bed, all in separate rooms. The boat is mainly on the river and we have a wide plank for access, making the boat unsuitable for wheelchairs, elderly or infirm. The boat has been on Inspector Lewis. The boat is NOT a hotel.

We are a working farm and you may see the tractor trundle past feeding our herds of Texal sheep (Lambing right in front of you in April 2026!) and Limousin cows grazing in fields, or watch the many birds. Vibrant East Oxford has some of the best restaurants and cafes. We are a short walk from Magdalen Bridge, the Botanical Gardens, punting and the historic city centre.

We are a few minutes from all the tourist attractions of the historic city of Oxford including, the University Colleges, the Ashmolean Museum, Pitt Rivers Museum, the Bodleian Library, the Thames for punting, the Westgate shopping centre, University Parks, Port Meadow etc. We are 30 minutes drive from Blenheim Palace and 20 minutes from Bicester Village outlet shopping centre.

Market town of Wallingford (setting for “Midsomer Murders”) is short walk, many amenities including boat rides on the River Thames an outdoor heated pool (summer), great restaurants and shops including Waitrose.
