We had an amazing stay for our son’s family leave at Ft Benning. The home is a mix of Southern charm, comfort, and peaceful seclusion. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had every amenity we could have hoped for. The setting is serene and surrounded by nature. Plus, it’s just a short drive to Columbus. We didn’t want to leave and are already planning our next visit. Highly, highly recommend!

Traveling as a group of 4 presented an opportunity to stay at “The 22”. Turned out it was very convenient to the State Park, Calloway and downtown Pine Mountain. The cabin has two comfy queen beds, one bath in the hall, the other in the bedroom - both nicely appointed. You’re tucked away, about 1/4 mile off the road down a nicely gravelled drive. Keep in mind if raining, you will need to exit your car to unlock and open a gate near the road to enter the property. The outdoor space is great, fire pit, separate conversation area for star gazing, several picnic tables. Two screened porches were comfy too with cushioned furniture, swing and benches. We heard and saw lots of birds and a fox came through once. You must connect to their wifi if connectivity is important to you. The kitchen had everything you needed to dine-in and enjoy fellowship in the quiet surroundings. Steve was very responsive on the few occasions that we needed him. We would stay again!

This was the perfect cabin for our trip! It was very secluded but not far from restaurants and local attractions. Our favorite things were the comfortable bed and seeing 15 or so turkeys walk past the cabin one afternoon. This place is special!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin but we do have a few comments that may be useful to others. First, the positives: The lake is beautiful and the property is peaceful. We even took some pictures on the dock, standing in front of the lily pads and the fall leaves. The wall unit does a surprisingly good job of heating the cabin despite the cold temps when we were there. And the cabin is very close to FDR State Park. But we did end up leaving early, in large part because this cabin is not hard w/ an infant. If you look closely in the photos, this is a loft bedroom and does not have a door separating it from the rest of the cabin. We didn't notice that before booking, and we spent the weekend tip-toeing around and whispering when the baby was asleep. The other unfortunate issue was that someone must have smoked in the cabin before we got there. Once we returned home, we noticed that all the stuff we brought with us smelled of smoke, including our baby's mat (even after washing it!).

We enjoyed our stay in this home so much! There was something for every member of our family to do! The house was perfectly clean and the host Karen was so sweet and responsive. We look forward to staying here again!

Darel was an amazing host! His home was perfect for our visit. We enjoyed how peaceful it was. The home was well stocked and Darel made sure we had everything we needed. He was the kindest and most generous host we have ever had! I highly recommend and will definitely stay again when visiting the area!

This was my family's second time having Ann as our host and it was a pleasurable, and stress free stay once again. We are really looking forward to next time. We all wanted to say thank you Ann for all you did for us we really appreciate it.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! First, we were at another air bnb and were forced to find another at 11pm at night. The hosts let us get into this home immediately, even though it was midnight as we checked in! The location is out in the woods and while we struggled a little finding it in the dark, once we could drive in the day it was no problem to locate. The house is cozy and so peaceful. We had our soldier and his friend with us and it was perfect for relaxing and hanging out. I was amazed at how ready the house was last minute and so late! It was very clean and really has such a welcoming feel to it. The owner (with permission) came by to blow leaves off the property and we enjoyed chatting with him and learning the family history of the house. We cooked dinner in the home & overall we had all the things we needed. It is a little bit of a drive to the theater & restaurants but definitely worth it. We will be back if possible!
