Patric and Zeidy were very responsive in returning e-mails and keeping us informed with all dates and times for our trip. We had the great pleasure of meeting the owners of this beautiful place/Charlie and Paula. How special it was to be picked up from the airport by Charlie. He welcomed us with open arms, took us to a grocery store to get supplies for our first day and oh my god made us a fantastic breakfast. It was truly a great experience meeting so many nice people and not to forget Rob who would always help you out at any time of the day. We had 27 days of heaven in a very special place. The apartment was great and we loved having the pool right outside our door. This made it extra convenient when kids were napping (the beach is also only a 5 minute walk away). We were originally going to stay in Flamingo but it was more expensive and busy. We ended up liking Potrero more than Flamingo and would recommend! The hosts are very responsive and even arranged a pack n play for us which was very nice and super helpful. We had an issue with ants in one bedroom, but the hosts were quick to arrange for the exterminator to come out the next day. When visiting Costa Rica, you have to expect some insects, but it was nice they were willing to do that for us. We had a rental car so it was nice having parking, but you can also walk to the local restaurants, brewery, shops, etc within about 10-15 minutes.

We can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was at Pura Vida house. Jorge (even though he was in the US at the time) was always available to answer our questions and provide assistance. And trust me, we had many questions ;). His tips on our excursions were spot on and we loved every one of them. Even when my 13 year old came down with a double ear infection on a Sunday, Jorge called the dr on call at the local clinic to have him taken care of. The drivers that he supplied for us were all wonderful and knowledgeable. Chef Antonio was also amazing! The beach club and the jw Marriott were about a 5 minute golf cart away and was perfect for our family. Tamarindo was about 15 minutes so pretty close by. We truly enjoyed the luxury’s of the house and can’t wait to go back again! Pura Vida Jorge and Stephanie!

We truly enjoyed our time here exploring the local area. The kitchen was well equipped-and with the pool being steps from your patio door- there was no need to leave the gated community some days! We found we did not need a golf cart for our week long stay- the beach was only about a ten minute walk along the main streets with lots of shops and restaurants. Highly recommend the catamaran tour with marlin’s tours (I think is the name)- we had a great day on the water!! Overall we loved our stay at Mary’s place the weather was great and the accommodation were very relaxing with the pools in the gated community being quiet and not over crowded We really appreciate the hosts accommodating an early check in- we were super grateful for this after a long overnight flight!

Muy buena atención x por parte del anfitrión. Muchos utensilios de cocina, y ofrece suministros y regalías que en otros hospedajes donde me he alojado no lo dan. Aseo impecable, y el lugar muy tranquilo, muy cerca del centro de tamarindo.

Loved staying at Mari’s place! Super peaceful, relaxing and convenient. We would definitely stay again!

Spectacular views, everything was exactly as described. Incredibly good value. Just steps to the beach. Host was friendly and very responsive. Very walkable to the iconic Father Rooster restaurant right on the beach.

Great place for a family stay. Huge living room and kitchen with a really nice patio next to the pool. The place was super clean and very comfortable. The body surfing boards and beach towels were a nice bonus. The washer/dryer came in handy as well. Sunsets were amazing on the beach. Local restaurants on the beach were pretty good. Ginger (a tapas place) across the street was the best food we had in CR and had some unique dishes. Chillin' on the beach near the villa was awesome and made the stay really enjoyable.

Das Haus ist wunderschön eingerichtet und wirklich ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen. Besonders der Pool lädt zum Entspannen ein – dabei kann man sogar Vögel beobachten! Der Strand ist ganz in der Nähe, was super praktisch ist. Ein besonderes Highlight war der Besuch eines freundlichen Hundes – die Familie kümmert sich liebevoll um streunende Tiere in der Umgebung, und ein Teil der Einnahmen geht sogar an einen Tierschutzverein. Hier zu übernachten ist also nicht nur schön, sondern unterstützt auch einen guten Zweck. Das Haus war makellos sauber – nicht ein einziger Käfer im ganzen Haus! Wir haben uns rundum wohl und willkommen gefühlt und können diesen Ort absolut weiterempfehlen.
