Guanacaste Province: soggiorni in hotel

El lugar nos pareció encantador, muy aseado, justo como se indicaba en las fotos. La anfitriona nos recibió muy bien, las instalaciones limpias y hermosas. El apartamento tenía todas las comodidades que ocupábamos. Altamente recomendados. De nuestra parte muy agradecidos con la anfitriona y esperamos regresar en un futuro próximo.

We had so much fun staying on the farm! It was beautiful with all the paths and plants throughout the property. We really enjoyed the included cocoa farm tour and the food was delicious. So many great amenities and easy access to Rio Celeste for our hike. Staying here was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend and we will be staying again someday.

Best location; walk to everything in town/beach. Loved the pool area and Destiny cafe was the icing on the cake. Amazingggg food/smoothies/ staff. Would absolutely recommend this spot and stay here again. The hotel staff was so friendly and accommodating as well.

Excellent little hostel for a quick stay! I had a private bedroom with a big bed, and shared a bathroom. The place was exceptionally clean and had everything I needed for a few nights. The location is great, with a mini market and a variety of restaurant options nearby (Soda la Amistad was excellent). There is also a well-equipped kitchen for those that would prefer to make their own food. Jonathan communicated very well and recommended a great taxi driver for me. Would definitely recommend staying here as the value is unmatched!

The place is awesome! It’s got a great vide, love the pool, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The room is super clean, and comfortable. The place has a great laid back vibe. Ryan is an awesome host! He’s a big surfer and has a bunch of surfboards to rent at a great rate. He also has a quad to rent too. He’s super responsive with anything I need. A lot of the people have come back year after year here. And I am definitely coming back next year! I couldn’t recommended enough.

Johanna's place is a real oasis. There were many things that made it feel so: sleeping so close to the river, being able to wake up and walk down to the water, cooking in the open kitchen with a view, finding stillness in the garden so easily, practicing movement in the open shala while enjoying all the shades of green, the singing birds, the howling monkeys... Johanna was helpful and responsive in preparation of and during my stay. Her recommendations were spot on. I was also able to take a yoga class with her and other locals, which was really nice. The location is really good too: isolated enough from the busyness, but close to Guadalajara, Nuevo Arenal and Tilaran. This place is a hidden gem, I cannot believe how lucky I was to stumble upon it here. If you're doubting whether to book a stay here, just do it.

We had a great time. Very spacious home on a lot of land. Great for large groups.

Place was amazing and matched the photos. It was only a close walk to the beach and we felt safe/secure in the villa. The BnB felt immersed in nature with all the vegetation and a fairly open concept. Only small negative was that you had to deal with the bugs as a result of this, but Sarah was super responsive and helpful with that. She also gave us great recommendations in Tamarindo, invited us to her restaurant, and has a friendly dog. All in all, it was a great stay and would stay here again.

This was the perfect place for two families of five totaling four adults and six kids ranging in age 4-10. The checkin process was seamless and renting out an entire bed and breakfast that includes 10 rooms is pretty awesome! We were able to split all the kids appropriately and still have rooms to spare. The kitchen is awesome and fully stocked (as you'd expect from a bed and breakfast). Excellent communication start to finish was a great touch! Even during our stay we were able to turn on and off the housekeeping as required to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Walking distance (even for our 4 year old) to Ocotal beach. It can be a little rough for little ones, but my 8 year old LOVED the waves. You can easily access many beaches such as Playa Hermosa (our favorite), Playa Panama, and Playa Coco. Coco has all you'll need including Costa Rican and more North American style grocery stores, restaurants, and retail stores. Make sure to check out Deep Blue Diving!

This was a really cool place to stay. There's only a few cabins available so if you're thinking of going, book quickly. Very private, clean, and peaceful. Service with a smile (even if you lock yourself out of your room in the evening 😊). They have a great restaurant onsite with a delicious brunch menu. The beach is a good 15 -25 min walk (depending on the path chosen), but it's a nice walk, between the mangroves, howling monkeys, iguanas, and the rest of the ecosystem Costa Rica has to offer, it'll only feel like a couple of minutes. Btw, you'll get to see most of it from your cabin too. Restaurants are also 15min walk on average. Avellana is up and coming, and if you're looking for a 5 star all inclusive hotel with all you can eat buffet, party around the pool, and bottomless margaritas, this isn't the place for you... it might open your eyes to a new way of traveling and experiences though. (if you know, you know!) I highly recommend Soul Shine! Super friendly host & staff!!!!

Beautiful accommodations in an ideal location! This may have been our favorite Airbnb we’ve had! We loved the open-air communal space with lots of room to spread out. The bedrooms with air conditioning were a welcome reprieve at the end of the long hot beach days. We really valued being able to walk to Playa Brasilito and Playa Conchal. Our favorite place to eat was Soda Brasilito! I will note that the third bedroom now has a double bed and not a bunk bed. Not a big deal since our kids just shared the bed but others may want to note the change from the pictures.

Quedarme en los bungalows de Ronald fue una experiencia muy agradable. El lugar es tranquilo, rodeado de naturaleza y perfecto para desconectarse. Todo estaba limpio, bien cuidado y con ese toque auténtico que se agradece en un viaje. Ronald fue muy atento y siempre estuvo disponible para cualquier cosa que necesitara. Sin duda recomiendo este lugar a quienes busquen algo cómodo, relajado y con buen ambiente. ¡Gracias Ronald por la hospitalidad!

Rosa was a great host. she's very nice and accommodating! Cabin is quite spacious and beautiful! we wish we could have spent more time enjoying the pool but we arrived later than expected and had to leave quite early for an excursion. The restaurant on grounds was great. the food is excellent and the atmosphere (especially during the evening) is quite nice. The roads to the location are quite rugged and windy but that's definitely not the hosts fault!

Cute little surf hotel. Walking distance to beach. Lovely amenities like the common areas with board games and complimentary coffee. Friendly staff.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit Küche, tollem Bad, schönem Pool und Terrasse. Der Ort ist noch nicht so erschlossen und daher ist weniger los, auch am Strand, der wunderschön ist! Es ist insgesamt ein sehr warmes Klima in Avellanas. Aber insgesamt sehr schön und Justin ist ein toller Gastgeber! Ich würde in jedem Fall wiederkommen!!!

This is a great place and very private for either one person or a couple. It has a small fridge, bathroom and bedroom. That is about it. For me it was exactly what I needed for a diving day. Bear in mind that you will need to park outside of the property. However, I had no issues with the car.

Alojamiento totalmente seguro y relajante lugar super tranquilo, privacidad al 100, Doña Julia siempre estuvo muy atenta, No recomendado para automóviles ya que la calle es de lastre y un poco en mal estado

Mi familia y yo quedamos muy satisfechos, la casa amplia, en muy buen estado, muy limpias las sábanas y la casa en general. La ubicación de la casa excelente muy cerca de las playas más bonitas y de los centros comerciales. Súper recomendada, la atención de la dueña muy gentil y flexible.
