I don’t think our group that rented this property for the weekend could’ve been any more happier than we were. Very well, built home on a beautiful peaceful lake. Nice big deck on three side sides of the property that you can see the lake from all three sides. BIG fire pit! Nice open living room, dining kitchen area. We are already talking about coming back up again and staying longer.

Everything was exactly as listed, this is a great place. It would be nice if one of the bedrooms had blackout curtains though.

The house was perfect for our group of 6 adults celebrating a milestone birthday. The trails around the 15+ acre property were freshly mowed and made for some beautiful morning walks while sipping a coffee. Shelly went above and beyond to make our stay special. The house is beautiful inside and out and the space is close enough to all the action, yet far enough away from it all to turn the music up, tell those really funny stories, and not worry you'll bother the neighbors. We look forward to staying here again someday!

Great responsive communication. Everything was spotless except the hot tub when we arrived. The plows and skimmer were left floating. Pointed it out and someone promptly came and fixed it!

The place was just right for our girls getaway. It had a great location right on the lake. Since it was late fall it was very quiet. Would love to come back when it is warm to enjoy the water. The place itself was wonderful, the picturea didn't deceive.

We had a wonderful stay. This house was well equipped in the kitchen, baths and bedrooms with quality, newer, matching pans/utensils, towels and bedding. Plenty of paper products as well. Lots of space for 7 adults, including a very comfortable living room (2nd on lower level) and beautiful deck with plenty of seating and even a Solo wood stove!

Overall, I give Bob and Linda’s lodge 5/5. It was exactly what I was looking for: an authentic off-grid UP experience. It’s clean and homey, and Bob and Linda are top notch hosts, going out of their way to make your stay a good one. If you’re looking for a great off-grid experience, this is it. However, it may not be for everyone. For example, we visited in October, and we had to heat the lodge through fireplaces as there is no central heating. I personally enjoyed that but can imagine others not wanting to deal with it. The lodge has an open concept floor plan, and I recommend guests consider sleeping arrangements carefully. While there are a ton of beds, there are few doors, and most sleeping areas don’t have one. So it may not be the best if you have people going to bed or waking up at different times.

This was a wonderful AirBNB for my friends and I to attend ski jumps. A short drive to most attractions in the Iron Mountain area, and only a 20 minute walk from downtown. We were surprised by the size and quality of the home.

I will definitely stay here again, this was a wonderful experience overall!

We needed a dog friendly place for a Road America weekend. This was great. I walked the dog nearby and across the road to a beautiful lakefront neighborhood. Didn’t cook there but heated up takeout food. Cute backyard that was too wet for us to hang out in. Comfy beds and cool race memorabilia in unit.

I have stayed here before back in 2022 and really enjoyed it. The size was nice and everyone was easy to work with. For the cost, this is comparable to a hotel with much less room. I will definitely stay here again. Thanks...

Amazing experience! Hosts were friendly and welcoming! They gave us our space but visited when we were able too. They accommodated our last second changes well. Will likely book again!

I’ve been to dozens upon dozens of Airbnb‘s. Michelle and Dave’s place was hands-down my favorite. Wonderful family, and a beautiful pair of dogs to love as well! My daughter’s and I absolutely loved our stay. We will definitely be back.

Overall, our stay was fantastic! Abby's place was wonderful! it was tucked away in the woods/forest with the most beautiful landscape view! We thought our little place was a perfect home away from home. It was tucked away in the forest, but Abby's instructions made it easy to find! Also, an extra star for the high end bidet. 🙃

The best New Years Eve experience with Yana and Jim! They were incredibly responsive and welcoming. Anything we needed or any question we had was taken care of very quickly. Perfect Midwest hospitality. Will be coming back!

Shelly’s place was just what we were looking for for our ski weekend with another family. It was very comfortable and clean. There is no cell service, so make sure to have directions downloaded before getting close. Also, we didn’t realize it was unit B but figured it out quickly when we saw a car in the other driveway. The place was spacious and clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We appreciated the firewood and enjoyed the hottub. I would highly recommend Shelly’s place.

Shelly was super responsive and overall an amazing hostess. She helped us with any questions we had before the trip and the couple we had during. She always responded within 30 mins of us reaching out :) The cabin was exactly as described in the listing and had everything we needed! Plus it was right around the corner from Ski Brule so we never had to travel to ski. Would highly recommend staying here- we will be coming back!

I would give both Kerry and her villa 10 stars if I could. Everything was outstanding and as-advertised. Kerry provided instructions for finding & accessing the house and a helpful and personalized guide to the local highlights well before our visit. She provided all of the information we needed promptly and we felt that she truly cared that we have a wonderful stay. The house is very well designed and Kerry has loaded it with all the amenities imaginable, from the basics to all the extras we could want while on a vacation at the lake. Everything was in great condition, well organized and of high quality. We could not have been more comfortable. Kerry's house is on a beautiful lot above and across the street from Lake Michigan. The grounds were in excellent condition and landscaped to provide a peaceful, pastoral and private setting. We enjoyed watching the Orioles and other birds flocking to the bird feeders off the upper deck. This was the perfect spot for our family celebration.
