A 40 year celebration of being married. It was the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy our time together. Many highlights the hot tub view the peacock and peahen dance every night... The night flyover from the herons. Martyn was a perfect host very helpful. Perfect memories thank you.

Booked this last minute for my friends birthday and we are so glad we did!. Place was spotless and the host is so friendly she made us feel at home☺️ will definitely be back this is my second time here . Love it

Claire’s peaceful country retreat is beyond spectacular! So difficult to capture in words how amazing the view is! The decor, attention to details, guest treats, and amenities- wow! I cannot say enough! Would highly recommend to anyone!

We absolutely loved our stay here, the hot tub made it even better. Place was immaculately clean, no faults what so ever. Basic kitchen equipment which is all you need for a few days away. Plenty of restaurants, take aways and shop within the area if you’re driving so was able to have the option there if we fancied. Access was easy and it was easy to find, we both liked how it wasn’t on a public road etc and it was so peaceful at night. We were lucky to be able to see a sunset on our first night and that was fantastic, being able to be in the hot tub and have those views was just unreal. Even on our second night the weather wasn’t the best we still loved every minute of it. We cannot recommend this enough, we will definitely be back! Thank you both again

Rachel’s Farm ‘The Cottage’ was exactly as advertised. Perfect for the wife and I to have a last minute romantic weekend away. Booking was so easy, the property was very homely and welcoming and we immediately felt the worries of the world disappearing as we relaxed into the hot-tub listening to the wildlife. Also after a day of exploring the area to be able to slip into that awesome rolltop bath. I’m one of the larger built gentleman, and to have a bath that I can lay in and fit was sublime. You almost had to charge me for the cost of that bath as I was tempted to bring it home with me. 👍and then to climb into that bed. I haven’t slept that well for months..! Honestly, if you are considering staying here, I would 100% recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

We just had a great stay. Great communication, Lynne was always responsive and lots of information provided. House was extremely clean, good quality bed linen and loads of lovely fresh towels. Beds comfy. Outside area was perfect for our family lots of space to run around and play plus the hot tub to relax in. Location was perfect for us visiting family and close to the beach and gardens and other places to visit. Thanks for a great stay

We stayed at Shurig cottage as family of 4 (kids 4 and 2 years) and grandad! The hosts were really helpful with pre trip and during the trip especially with recommendations of things to do and places to eat. The accommodation was spotless and had all amenities needed. We loved the modern cosy cottage feel! The outdoor space was great too! Highlights of the trip included blackwaterfoot beach which was a great sandy beach for the kids and we even had the kayak out too, Mara fish restaurant in Corrie, seals seen on the west coast, hiking to Machrie Moor standing stones and Kings cave! Both Brodrick castle and the Thyme cafe had great outdoor play areas for the kids (we loved the Pide there too)! We also loved Arran butchers and the bakehouse in Blackwaterfoot! Hamilton cottages is a perfect base for these activities and we will hopefully be back soon! Thank you!

We had a fantastic stay in the cottage, it was a lovely cosy space, with everything we could need. Particularly appreciated the cot and highchair, and the washing/drying facilities for soggy walking clothes! Lorna was super friendly and helpful and we look forward to staying again on Arran!

This property was the perfect 5 day stay after 16 days of a long road - train - air trip - this was idyllic - nothing was missing and all was in the right place - Liz makes the business of hosting spotless - we could not think of anything that the cottage missed and that is the hard work and magic of her hostess - we were really lucky to find it - and follow all of her recommendations - hands down - lovely refuge.

Great small cottage as a base for exploring the Dunoon area, we had a lovely day at Benmore Gardens and a great trip over to Loch Lomond and Arachar. The cottage is compact but has everything that you need with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and bedroom. Top tip is to buy your tickets before getting on the ferry over from Gourock, if you’re coming that way as they charge a fortune if you buy on- board!

Amazing place with fantastic hosts nothing too much trouble. Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful. David you and your wife are amazing people, thank you for everything you did to make our stay perfect. We will be back.

Lovely quiet cottage with stunning views . John was the perfect host ensuring we were welcomed warmly . We loved our stay . The only minor comment we would make is the hot water was very very hot !! Took us by surprise sometimes so it might be worth turning the temperature down . We would definately return .

We had a beautiful stay at Carolyn‘s cottage. It is very cosy and perfect for couples. It is very dog friendly. We could just walk out of the door to walk our dogs. We went hiking everyday and discovered beautiful spots. Next grocery store is 5 min away. In Drymen make sure to check out „The Clachan“, oldest licensed pub in the UK as well as the Coffee Shop.

Beautiful and peaceful location, easy to get to. Well equipped and spacious kitchen with room for everyone. Large comfy living room with real fire was nice and cosy Good sized bedrooms with comfortable beds Host Brenda was very friendly and welcoming and always responded quickly to any queries All in all a lovely place to stay and would have no hesitation in recommending and returning

This cottage is fantastic. Everything here has been thought of. If you were inclined you could literally prepare any main meal here. The location was perfect for us looking for a simple, peaceful base to explore Bute from. The host has placed in the cottage. plentiful maps, walks and references for things to do on the Island. Ettrick bay is a tranquil retreat with amazing scenery in every direction. It has good walks locally and an hourly bus back into Rothesay. If you wish you can walk the old Tram path back to Port Banantyne (about 90 mins). I have to say we were extremely fortunate with the weather (17-21 March) and it was wonderful at the end of the day to sit on the patio with a glass of wine staring out to sea and the Island of Arran. Simply Stunning.

Our stay at the cottage was great. June was very helpful and accommodating. She allowed us to check in early by 4 hrs due to our flight coming in and our children being exhausted. She went shopping for a few necessities for us and I found that really sweet. She got snacks for my kids, cereal and milk and also coffee and tea. The cottage was clean and beautiful. The views were amazing. My kids loved that they could see sheep and cows right out the window. We also were offered late check out but our flight going home was within the check out time so we didn't need it. My children loved June and when they saw her outside would always want to talk to her. My 2 yr old even went on a little walk around the garden with her. She would message asking if we needed anything like the garbage emptied and was just there if we needed her. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

We booked for a wedding at Rowanallan Castle. the cottage was for 6 of us ample room and in beautiful order. nice touches bread ,milk, biscuits, coffee and tea. They hole house was pristine, kitchen was great for shared meal and beds super comfy. Shame couldn't stay longer.

We had a great week walking, swimming, eating and relaxing in a lovely cottage. Spoilt by the weather which gave us an opportunity to use the stunning outside terrace on the 1st floor to make the most of the amazing views on to Gareloch.

We absolutely loved our stay here, it’s so secluded and peaceful and the perfect country escape! The cottage itself was so beautiful and the interior design was so impressive. The cottage was immaculate and it also felt so homely. Heather was an amazing host and so communicative. One of the best stays we’ve had and we will definitely be back - thank you!

The cottage was a great, very comfortable and pleasant space. A good mix of new and old with everything I needed. A great nights sleep, after checking the starlit sky. Highly recommend for a quiet get away.
