Great Central Lake: soggiorni in cottage

Reef point cottages were adorable and a great little romantic getaway. We loved our private hottub on our porch and the setup. Situated walking distance to town, this was a great spot and we’d definitely come back!

Wonderful stay for our family of six—great value, lovely home and property, and the hosts were quick to respond to anything we needed!

We really enjoyed our stay at Nicole’s. The house was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. It was a short walk to the beach and into town. Nicole frequently checked in to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and we made many meals there. We look forward to returning!

This independent dwelling is in a resort community with multiple small houses on small land. The location beside a beautiful park is good. We did a day trip to Tofino; the driving is long. Though we never met Judy, she provided everything which is required and there is a well-stocked kitchen for cooking dinner. I recommend unconditionally.

This was an incredible space for our family to spend time together during the holidays. It was a short 2 minute walk to the beach with incredible views! We saw seals each time we visited the beach. The house was very clean, modern and comfortable. We loved having enough bedrooms for each of our children to have their own space and the common spaces were large and comfortable for everyone as well. Loved it!

This is a lovely 4 bedroom home at a great little resort. The pool is perfect temperature, with a hot tub and warm tub. Guests should note the pool hours are “dawn to dusk” and that is strictly enforced. The view from the lawn above the rocky beach at the edge of the complex is breathtaking, and there are picnic tables there for seaside lunches and sunset cocktails. The home was decently equipped and very clean and the beds were comfortable. Younger kids will enjoy riding their scooter around the complex. Nice little tennis court (bring your own rackets etc). Overall a very enjoyable stay!

Beautiful tiny home in a great rural area but also close to downtown Courtenay. We loved the high ceilings and light you get in the cabin. Had a small hiccup during our stay but the hosts were quick to respond and correct the issue. Would stay again. Thanks!

Rebecca’s place was awesome! Very spacious, bigger than it looked, with a great patio - and nice location (walking distance to Chesterman Beach and food/coffee/gelato spots. She was very responsive as well - we hope to be back!

Absolutely tranquil visit to the boathouse! Has everything you need. Margaret was very friendly and attentive. Gorgeous place you have created, complete silence and away from the hustle of cities. We will be back, most definitley. Thanks so much margaret!

Our hosts were so nice and caring. We loved our stay. We stayed in their beautiful cottage while we transitioned to our new home a block away. So nice to have such fantastic neighbors.

beautiful place which is right on the ocean. The view was incredible! The back deck was amazing and we spent hours on it. It was easy to walk down the steps to paddleboard on the ocean every evening. Kitchen was well stocked and even had snacks for the kids which was really appreciated. If we are ever back on Hornby Island we would stay again.

Amazing stayed! Highly recommended. Brian went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt welcomed and comfortable. The communication was seamless, with quick responses to any questions I had before and during the stay.

You won't be disappointed. It's an easy walk to Chesterman Beach for whatever your heart desires (surfing, reading, walking, sandcastles - whatever!). Lisa is a fantastic host. She gives you space and privacy but ensures she checks in on how things are going. Hands down, the best place. I'll be coming back.

Gail’s cottage was an incredibly warm and welcoming place to stay. She is thoughtful about every part of the cottage with lovely decor, comfortable bedding, and a very clean space. The incredible beach was just a short walk away. She was so friendly and responsive to all my questions, I can’t wait to come back!

Wow! Just wow! That's the place you want to come home to on a vacation. So beautifully furnished, very comfortable beds, stunning view, and the best morning coffee on the deck. We would have loved to spend some more time there. Jo was great to communicate with and gave a lot of valuable tips way in advance. Very handy for planning our trip!

Ontzettend vriendelijke eigenaar en een geweldige omgeving. De guest house was erg schoon. Op aanraden van Martin zijn we gaan kanoën naar de andere kant van het meer. We deden dit bij zonsopkomst, het was prachtig! Zeker een aanrader!

My family had a great stay at Louise’s cottage. Easy to find and really lovely layout. The kids were excited to sleep in the loft bedroom on the second level and I was pleased there was a door to the bedroom to keep noise out in the evenings! The other two bedrooms on the main level are very comfortable and far apart from each other. There’s a small backyard off the deck, a rustic bridge over a stream and then Little Trib beach. We had a blast going to and from easily during our stay and knew ahead of time that the beach is considered “clothing optional” but Louise was kind enough to add this detail into our checking in information among some other helpful facts. We didn’t have any issues while we were in the cabin and felt all the details were thought of including everything you’d need to start a fire in the wood stove. We would absolutely stay again!
