Thanks so much Jessica for hosting us on our first stop on (our version of) the NC500. We had such a wonderful time in your little oasis outside Cromarty. Perfect location for exploring the Black Isle and everything it has to offer. We were very lucky with the weather and to see dolphins almost on cue at nearby Chanonry Point. The nearby Fairy Glen falls were gorgeous and thanks for the recommendation of Big Burn Walk in Golspie, that was stunning! By far our best memories are sitting in the hot tub watching the deer in the fields, the sun go down, and bats soaring above our heads. Spectacular. Thanks so much for everything!! :)

Definitely worth the visit. I really noticed the cleanliness of this property. Friendly hosts and lots of nice people at the holiday park. Perfectly enclosed for my dog. We had a wonderful couple nights here.

A return visit for us, another beautiful peaceful break from our busy lives. Would recommend the Juniper hut to everyone. Cosy cabin with everything you could need,with so much to see only a short drive away.

Wild Thistle Lodge absolutely blew us away! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found something truly special. The location is out of this world — the views are simply breathtaking, like something from a postcard. Every corner of the lodge was immaculate, cozy, and clearly designed with so much love and attention to detail. Jane, our host, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. She had a full folder waiting for us with recommendations for local restaurants, activities, and even directions to everything — it made exploring the area so easy and stress-free. It’s rare to find a place where you feel completely at home the minute you walk in, but Wild Thistle Lodge was exactly that. The peaceful surroundings, the stunning views, the thoughtful touches throughout the lodge — it all came together to create one of the best stays we have ever had. We are already planning our next trip back. If you’re considering booking Wild Thistle Lodge — don’t hesitate for a second.

The lodge was absolutely perfect! There was plenty of space for our stay. We had 6 adults and a 5 month old baby staying there for a week. The location is stunning, so quiet and peaceful and the views around are spectacular! Hazel was lovely, very fast at responding to messages and very friendly when talking to her. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lodge to anybody. Thank you for a lovely stay, Hazel!

Had a lovely and relaxing stay and it was a great location for visiting nearby distilleries, the bonus was that it was dog friendly so we could bring our pup with us too!

Fantastic accommodation in a great location which was perfect for what we were after and loved the fresh eggs in the morning before our adventures. Absolutely lovely place that we didn't want to leave! Very quaint location away from everything. We were surrounded by farm animals, was lovely seeing chickens, rooster and even a peacock running around! The cabin turned out to be more spacious than the photos made it look. It was clean and well stocked with necessities. The highlight was definitely seeing the Aurora on our first night there! Would recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful getaway, 6/5 stars!

Nette, ruhige Unterkunft mitten im Wald mit schöner Aussicht. Wir (4 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) hatten eine schöne Zeit.

We had a fantastic one night stay up in the riverside lodge for my stepdads birthday. The cabin is located on a working farm so the friendly farm animals next to the cabin were a great hit with my daughter. Really close to Pitlochry where we went canyoning and a very short drive to the pass of Killiecrankie and soldiers leap which was an amazing walk. The cabin was cosy and decorated nicely, had all the essentials for cooking. The cabin was clean and tidy and presented well. We felt very at home in the cabin. My only recommendation would be to be careful coming up the steep driveway to the cabin we unfortunately started our trip with the car tipped into the small stream luckily the farmer was kind enough to tow us out. Overall would highly recommend for a peaceful getaway close to activities in Pitlochry and surrounding areas.

What a wonderful stay, the photos of the cabin didn't do it justice! Gorgeous views of the surroundings and lots of green space around each cabin which was great for the dog. A lovely, secure outdoor area for each cabin was also great. The cabin itself was spacious, spotless and had everything we might have needed for the evening. Log fire was set and everything explained thoroughly at check in by friendly host. Can't fault this place and definitely would return with dog and little one in tow! Thanks again!

brilliant hideaway in the hills of Dunkeld. lovely host and was always eager to help. we did have an issue with the travel cot not having a mattress but Morag did her best to help with the situation and we managed to create a makeshift bed for our little one using resources already in the cabin. that's the only thing that went awry but we quickly adapted and Morag was very apologetic about the situation. lovely package of teas, wine and goodies upon entry. heating was a bit tricky to figure out at first but after a couple of attempts we got it working OK and it was lovely having an electric fire, made the place feel extra cosy. location was wonderful with a wood in your back garden and animals and lots to see. perfect for a family get away and I'll be eager to return when our little one is a bit older and we can fully explore the town and area more cabin had everything we needed and looking forward to our next stay!

Me and my partner had the best weekend away at Highland Premier Glamping Pods. Graham went the extra mile and set the pod up for my partners birthday, which was well worth the extra money! The pod was very clean and had everything we needed. When we arrived Graham shown us around and shown all they offered including the hot tub, sauna and bbq hut which were all in pristine condition! Graham was a very friendly and helpful host. Will definitely be back!

Me and my son stayed at the cabin whilst visiting family. Perfect location, lots to do on the coast.

What a fabulous location and accommodation - we couldn’t have asked for more. Thoughtfully and comfortably set up, all contributing to a very relaxing stay. The views from the cabin are wonderful and you could spend hours drinking in the scenery. Lots of great walks, cycles, swims within easy reach- we hope to visit again. Thanks to our hosts for offering such a great venue.

This is my second visit to the Farmer’s Cottage, and once again, I was blown away by the peace and tranquility. There have been some improvements to the site since my last visit, including a few new additions such as the boat and the camping pod. John and his team are always on hand to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible, and it was lovely to watch and chat with the young girls tending their horses. I will definitely return for more country walks, beautiful sunsets, and an uninterrupted night’s sleep. I would highly recommend it.

We had the loveliest stay at Abhainn cabin! The place is gorgeous — we had pretty high hopes to begin with but the place by far surpassed our expectations. The cabin was incredibly cozy, well put together and the place itself was immaculate. The area is stunning, we were spoilt for choice when it came to hiking, highly recommended if you’re into the outdoors. Paul was a fantastic host, very communicative throughout and thanks to his instructions it was a breeze to find the place. Very very highly recommended — we will most definitely be back

such a wonderful place to stay. beautiful area with lots of lovely walks. cabin was cosy and perfect for what we needed! we saw so much wildlife such as deer and red squirrels which was such a treat!

Die Lage ist sehr schön, abgelegen, mit Schaf- und Kuhweiden. Die Tomatin Destillerie ist sehr nahe und sehr zu empfehlen! Auch Inverness ist sehr nahe und für den Einkauf ist Aviemore sehr zu empfehlen, hat dort einen Lidl und mehr. (waren mit dem Mietauto unterwegs) Einziger Punkt: die Küche ist recht einfach ausgestattet, wir hatten daher in Aviemore noch ein-zwei Küchenutensilien dazugekauft. Bei Fragen und Themen standen James und Kitty immer zur Verfügung und eine Antwort kam schnell zurück. Zur Information: es befinden sich zwei Lodges nebeneinander, die jeweils auch an Familien mit kleinen Kinder vermietet werden. Wer mit seinem Partner alleine Zweisamkeit sucht, muss daher berücksichtigen, dass auch Kinderlärm vorhanden sein kann.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! Alice was very friendly and welcoming. The place looked just like the pictures—clean, quiet, and beautifully located. We were lucky with the weather and really enjoyed using the fire pit with a great view of the surroundings. The outdoor bathtub was also incredibly relaxing. Highly recommended!

We experienced our stay in the cabin and Inger as a host as very good. The cabin is spacious and was very clean. The surroundings where the cabin is located are truly beautiful, almost fairytale-like. We were lucky to have sunny weather and could enjoy eating outside. It is about a 20-minute drive to Pitlochry, a charming small town with many activities.

A lovely and cosy lodge with great amenities such as the hot tub. Gail was fantastic host from start to finish. We will definitely come back.
