MacLeod Cove: secluded cottage with private shore

MacLeod Cove is a 3-bedroom cottage on the Bras d'Or, Cape Breton's beautiful inland sea. Enjoy ocean views and private cove, within 25 minutes drive of Baddeck, North Sydney (Newfoundland ferry terminal), and the Cabot Trail. Smoking and fires of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the property. The cottage is very private, surrounded by forest and sea. It typically has good cell phone coverage and we have wifi. Set on two private acres with a beach, large yard, and spacious deck for relaxing or entertaining.

Ocean Front Cedar Cottage & Screen Porch + Beach

This 900 sqft A-frame ocean front cottage has beautiful pine vaulted ceilings just steps to the Atlantic Ocean. The 3 bedrooms are cozy, with 1 queen, 1 double, and a bunk bed plus a crib. You can swim, walk and explore the beach. There is a swing set on the property and a large deck. Sit around the fire pit in the adirondack chairs and roast some marshmallows. Our cottage is a 5 minute drive to Mira Gut beach (life guarded) and Port Morien Beach, and only 20 minutes to Sydney!

Beach House on Bras d’Or Lakes

Each person after the first 2, will be charged an additional $30/night. Due to the delicate nature of rural utilities, only paying guests are welcome to use the property. No gatherings or parties. The Bunkie is a STAND ALONE structure, separate from the Beach House. Consider this if traveling with young kids. This cozy bunkie (10’ x 14’) sports a comfy King sized bed, vaulted ceiling, great views and a covered deck. THIIS IS THE ONLY CLIMATE CONTROLLED AREA at the property.

Our cozy cottage is located in Mira Gut, NS. Come enjoy the front patio with a beautiful view of Mira Bay! There is a private beach across the street or try Mira Gut provincial park beach approximately 1 km down the road. There is a children’s play structure onsite. The cottage has been newly renovated and is very modern and tastefully decorated - a true oasis!
