The photos of this place did not do it justice. It was in such a beautiful location, overlooked by snow covered mountains in all their glorious majesty. The sound of the stream babbling past adds to the peaceful atmosphere. Ekant was a great host and both he and his whole family were at pains to make us comfortable and were all so friendly. Could not praise our stay more highly.

Our stay at Shikha's homestay was truly exceptional! From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. The hassle-free check-in and check-out process made our travel experience so much easier. The home had a warm, homely vibes that instantly made us feel comfortable and relaxed. What truly stood out was Shikha's outstanding hospitality — her attention to detail, care during our stay, and genuine efforts to ensure we had everything we needed did not go unnoticed. Her helpful guidance for local sightseeing made our trip even more memorable and enriched our experience of the area. Thank you for making our stay so special. We highly recommend your homestay to anyone looking for a peaceful, pleasant, and truly heartwarming experience in Dharamshala. Special thanks to Vishal, who was always a call away. Nancy is truly a great host.Since the Time I booked the property till the time we checked out entire experience was impeccable. Nancy's property was spacious and serene which accommodated our 8 people friend's group quite perfectly. Her place is well maintained and she has thoughtfully designed the place providing best comfort of her guests. Special mention is the caretaker Mr. Surender and his wife who took care of each and every small needs of our group and trust me the food served by him and his wife is literary delectable and feels like home. A must recommended place for everyone who are planning for their trip to Dharamshala.

The homestay was an amazing experience, host mom and dad both were too welcoming and all the arrangements made in the house made us feel like home. The place was so mesmerizing that we wanted to extend our stay as place is too peaceful and scenerie. Host brother Abhishek helped us in paragliding in Bir and guided us to all the best place to explore nearby. Thanks for such a nice time Abhinav and Abhishek

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Vikas Bro & his wonderful family truly make you feel like one of their own. Atithi isn’t just a stay, it’s an experience wrapped in warmth, love, & genuine hospitality. The peace this place offers is unmatched, and the home-cooked meals from their kitchen? Pure soul food. I keep coming back, not just for the comfort but for the emotional connect this place builds. It’s my go-to sanctuary in Bir. If you're looking for authenticity, serenity, & kindness, this is the #1 place to stay. Pro Tip: VK bro is always available (5ish in the morning as well) to bail you out if the neighborhood noise/snores are hampering your peace 😁 Thank you, Vikas Bro, Indu Bhabhi & Family, for making Atithi feel like home & beyond.

We loved our stay in Karuna retreat for 5 days. The place has warm and cozy vibes. The kids loved the media room in the attic. It was a different experience for them. Since we were traveling by our own vehicle, we enjoyed the best of both worlds, the calm and peaceful neighbourhood of Rakkad and the hustle and bustle of Mcleod ganj. Traveling to the Main Square of Mcleodganj took 30 mins. Karuna Retreat is very close to Norbulingka Institute which was a great place to sit and just enjoy some peaceful moments. Star and constellations gazing was our favourite thing to do on the terrace of our beautiful homestay. There were nice home run cafes nearby. A grocery shop was just round the corner. We loved the location. Our host Tenzin was an easy and proactive person to talk to, though we never needed anything as everything was just fine. We loved the collection of books there too. We really hope to come back soon and stay for a longer period of time.

It was a beautiful stay. I would recommend this to all who love to visit Dharmashala. I booked at 1500/- and it was worth. Manthan & Urmila didi allowed us early check-in and they guided us pretty well to reach the spot. They place was clean and we'll maintained. The host were very helpful and extremely friendly. For visiting Macleod and Dharmashala we booked the cab and it costs us around 1500 + 2200. The cab agency number is shared with Urmila didim . Blindly stay at this place . Beautiful environment. There is a small hotel named Smiley serves good non veg food nearby.

Nikita's property is excellent. She is very proactive and very helpful. The location is very beautiful and peaceful with lush green surroundings and corners with great sunset views. The interiors were very well decorated and all the emenities we needed were either there or made available upon request. Overall, had an amazing experience at this property and ended up extending our stay.
