Within easy walking distance you'll find two dog/child friendly pubs, both with a great atmosphere, a warm welcome and serving great food, plus a shop. Less than a mile to Croyde and you’ll find more eateries and of course the beach. Putsborough beach is about a mile away (car park pass provided)with Woolacombe & Saunton beaches a little further. More shops in nearby Braunton and Barnstaple.

The magnificent Putsborough beach is just 5 minutes by car, Croyde is 2 miles away, Saunton and Woolacombe beaches are all nearby as is The Southwest Coast Path.

Birdsong lodge is a wonderfully secluded romantic retreat, for couples or couples with young children. Accessed only on foot, you'll need to walk the 130m track, part of which is a steep 1:4. We will help you with your luggage if required. The lodge has small double bedroom and double sofa bed. The views will take your breath away, looking across the wooded valley, with just a glimpse of the sea. For summers evenings the stone seat with firepit/bbq is a perfect set to watch the sun go down.

Putsborough surfing beach is a 25 minute walk via fields or via a lane. or 5 minute drive. The Kings Arms and 17th century Rock Inn serving gastro pub food are 1 minute and a 4 minute walk away.
