Designed as a 2-story duplex with separate entrances, decks, A/C and sound proofing, the Airbnb is the 1000 sq ft 1st floor. The 2nd floor is for the owners who travel frequently and is never rented. Must be 23 years old to book! This old house is charming and peaceful with a bit of Victorian flare. It has 12 ft. Ceilings and the original wood floors with lots of character. A little old with the new. It’s centrally located on the east end. Only a 15 min walk to the beach! I provide beach towels and there’s an outdoor shower to rinse off before going up to relax. Alot of great restaurants are in walking distance! Only a two mile drive to the cruise port and the Strand.

The 1847 Powhattan House & Living History Museum

Until there is time-travel, staying in the 1847 Powhatan House may be the next best thing. This is the 3rd oldest house in Galveston and has an amazing, almost unbelievable history. This beautiful Greek Revival style home is located 3 blocks from the beach and close to the Strand. The story of the house is told in a brief documentary on YouTube entitled “The Amazing History of Galveston's 1847 Powhatan House.”
