Our stay at Blue Heron was fantastic. The kitchen was so spacious and the screened porch was a great addition our for enjoyment. With our main lake house adventure being on our kayaks, the dock provided an abundance of space with two levels for enjoyment. We were able to easily enter and exit the water and the swings were frequently used for reading and/or napping. With a five day Virginia fishing license, we were able to explore the lake and fish as we went. Early morning on the water is highly recommended for the beautiful sunrise and calm waters. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were quite comfortable. The area around the house was peaceful and quiet. The driveway can seem daunting as it is approximately a 50 to 60 foot elevation change, but don't be too concerned. The area at the bottom is flat and spacious to allow vehicles to turn around, and there is a two car garage for use as well. The hot tub and fire pit were well placed.

We had an amazing time at this beautiful property! The location on the water was absolutely perfect, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. We especially loved the outdoor areas, which were perfect for relaxing and chatting together. Whether it was morning coffee or evening conversations, the outdoor spaces made our stay extra special. Highly recommend this place for a serene and memorable getaway!

We stayed at The Frances home July 6th thru July 13th, 2024. The house is so much nicer in person, the pictures just don't it justice. The beds were fine, the kitchen is well stocked and the place was very clean. Tons of room on the lower level to spread out and enjoy the pool table and ping pong. The lot is sloped but not too steep and they have a very nice, concrete walkway. The owners allow use of their kayaks, canoe and tiki hut on the dock. The hot tub on the lower deck was a great way to relax and enjoy the lake view. The house is in a no wake cove and just across the water from Jake's Place. Super close to the SML bridge and Bridgewater marina. Jake's has a restaurant, camper park and beach area with a slide. They do provide internet although we struggled many times with the connections, just power cycled their router and it was back up and running. T-mobile is the provider, I believe. The one major negative is no trash service, not even trash cans. Gotta fix that...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was great to be able to go outside and be right in the water and the multiple decks offered great views!

The place was just as stated. We were even a late arrival and when we couldn’t get in we had an immediate response with a resolution. It all worked well.
