The Hut in the Wild

Come and stay in our beautifully finished, tin shepherds hut at the bottom of our garden. We are located in the rolling countryside with extensive views over the vale of York. After a day of exploring this AONB, there’s nothing like cooking tea over the fire pit or wood pellet pizza oven followed by a dip under the stars in our rustic hot tub. Fall into a fresh clean bed and wake up to the sound of the dawn chorus. Our bathroom barn provides all your needs for a morning freshen up!See you soon.

Historic cottage, log-burning tub & village pub

Unwind in this beautifully restored Grade II listed, 17th Century farmers cottage with exposed beams, original ironwork, underfloor heating and a soothing log burning hot tub. Opposite you'll find a cosy, dog-friendly village pub with open fires. You’ll be 7 minutes away from artisanal food producers in the market town of Malton (known as Yorkshire's Food Capital) and ideally located for exploring the Yorkshire Wolds (2 miles), Howardian Hills (10 miles), York (17 miles) & Beaches (27 miles).

The Owlery at Mill Farm

Recently converted, the Owlery is the perfect self-catered rural escape for couples. With its double height vaulted ceiling and full height double aspect windows the open plan kitchen living diner offers a light and airy space to unwind and enjoy the view of surrounding fields. The bedroom has a Kingsize bed, Egyptian cotton sheets and En-Suite shower room. The Bathroom offers complimentary Bramley products and cotton bathrobes. Both areas are underfloor heated. There is a private garden.

Grooms Cottage by Sheriff Hutton Castle Near York

Grooms Cottage is on a private estate right next to the ruins of Sheriff Hutton Castle. The property is in a peaceful setting but only two minutes walk away from the village pub and post office/general store. Our cottage was completely renovated in 2021 and is in a great location for walkers, cyclists, and explorers. It’s about 10 miles from both York and Malton, Castle Howard is under 6 miles away, and the coast can be reached in under an hour. Grooms Cottage sleeps 4 guests+2 babies +dogs

Pear Tree House is an eighteenth century cottage in the centre one of the prettiest villages in North Yorkshire, Sutton-on-the-Forest, (8 miles north of York) in beautiful Hambleton. Unwind in our stunning 18th century, 1 bed barn conversion with beamed ceilings and open plan living space. Outside there is a south facing secure court yard with your own private access. Situated in a tranquil village within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The village boasts a fine dining pub with other local pubs within a short distance or even visit Malton the food capital. A perfect base for biking , walking or visiting Castle Howard, the North Yorkshire moors , East coast or York.

The Garden Room

Two renovated old buildings have been converted into a quiet, one bedroom, self contained Garden room. In the centre of Slingsby village, you are well placed to explore the beautiful surrounding areas of Yorkshire. A modern kitchen with fridge, microwave and cooker is equipped for preparing delicious meals. A wall mounted television with Netflix is available. The sleeping area hosts a double bed with wall hanging for clothes, adjacent to which is a bright shower room with heated towel rail.

Cavendish Court is part of a select housing development on the edge of the picturesque Castle Howard village of Slingsby in North Yorkshire. The peaceful village nestles on the northern edge of the Howardian Hills in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is a great base to explore York, Malton, Helmsley, Pickering, the North Yorkshire Moors and the Coast. The village facilities include the Grapes a destination pub & local bakery. Malton (Yorkshire’s food capital) is short drive away.

The Brush & Boot cottage is a 2 double bedroom getaway retreat, that sleeps 4 (+sofa bed). Peacefully situated on a hillside sheep farm with great views just 15 mins from York Park & Ride, 25 mins from York centre & 5 mins to Castle Howard in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Modern and well appointed with large gardens, comfy sofa’s, chairs & table for up to 6, fitted & equipped kitchen, comfy bedrooms, one on each floor, both en suite. A sofa bed is also available (fee applies).

This private getaway (1 kingsize bed) open plan living, set in the rural village of Sheriff Hutton, in the grounds of the C14th castle ruins. Located 20 mind north of York by car, 30 to the Moors. 1 hour to Whitby or the Dales. Relax on your south facing balcony with a 180° view, gaze up at a starry night or across to the ruins, after visiting York, nearby Castle Howard or walking/biking in the Howardian Hills AONB. Parking, self-contained, self-check. Less than 1 hour from the beach.

The Mill House

Beautifully renovated 300 year old Mill House, cosy cottage feel on our working farm on the edge of the Wolds. A perfect cottage for two, tasteful and spacious bedroom with on suite bathroom. Snug living and dinning area with warm log effect stove, original exposed beams and all the facilities. Easy access to York, North York Moors, National Park and coast. A short drive from many wonderful attractions and activities. We are unable to take short breaks in July and August .

Stunning rural shepherds hut

Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, this is a peaceful and romantic location. A perfect all year round escape. You park your car and the hut is a 5 minute walk from our house- make sure you pack suitable footwear. We can transport your luggage to the hut. The hut has cooking facilities (oven and a hob), there is also a fire pit for barbecues and a picnic table for outdoor dining. You have exclusive use of a hot tub which is right next to the hut.
