Faial Island: soggiorni in alloggi adatti ai bambini

In der Unterkunft haben wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen, die Kommunikation war reibungslos und der Ausblick auf den Pico und den Atlantik einfach atemberaubend.

Laura’s Cottage is a fantastic base for exploring São Jorge Island. The house is thoughtfully designed, highly functional, and exceptionally well-equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The beds and mattresses were particularly noteworthy — very comfortable and clearly chosen with care. One of the highlights was waking up in the main bedroom to a breathtaking, unobstructed view of Pico Island (weather permitting) — a truly memorable experience. Germano was an outstanding host: proactive, thoughtful, and incredibly responsive. He reached out well in advance with a wealth of useful tips about what to see and do on the island, which made a real difference in shaping our trip. Throughout our stay, he remained attentive and helpful without ever being intrusive. I honestly couldn't recommend Laura’s Cottage more — it was a perfect stay in a magical place.

Maison très bien située sur l’île, pas loin de Madalena et pas loin de l'aéroport, très peu d'avion donc pas de nuisances sonores. Un beau jardin, vu sur l’océan et sur le volcan Pico. Le point négatif le portail est en panne je pense depuis un certain temps et la voiture est obligée de rester sur la route. Pour un séjour de 10 jours comme nous avons fait il n'y a pas de machine à laver le linge et c'est un peu gênant. Sinon maison confortable.

We had an amazing few day's at Jorge's place. Horta is a fantastic location and the house is nestled into the hillside with fabulous views over the town and harbour. Perfectly located just a few minutes walk into town. We loved to sit eating our breakfast in the morning enjoying the wonderful view and star gazing at night after enjoying the island of Faial. Not to be missed! Hiking around the Caldeira, Capelinhos & Whale watching were all highlights for us! We would love to come back for a few more days....maybe next year :)

Wir waren eine Woche zu sechst in Casa Comprida. Das Haus ist etwas abseits gelegen und dadurch sehr ruhig. Vom Flughafen waren es mit dem Auto dennoch nur 20 Minuten. Das Haus war für unsere Ansprüche genau richtig. Es gab eine schöne, einwandfreie Ausstattung und wir hatten auch zu sechst genug Platz. Wunderschön ist vor allem der Blick von der Terrasse. Bei Ankunft haben wir festgestellt, dass die Kaffeemaschine nicht einwandfrei funktionierte. Unsere Gastgeberin Zilda war immer gut erreichbar und hat in kürzester Zeit geantwortet. So hatten wir direkt am nächsten Tag eine neue, funktionierende Kaffeemaschine. Außerdem war Zilda sehr daran gelegen, dass wir einen schönen Aufenthalt haben und immer auf unser Wohlbefinden bedacht. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und können das Haus vor allem für einen Familienurlaun sehr empfehlen!

Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es ist wirklich alles vorhanden. Morgens mit einer Tasse Tee vor die Tür und den Blick auf das Meer genießen. Frühstück mit Blick aif den Pico und mit Meeresrauschen einschlafen. Es ist alles sehr sauber. Anabela hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns abends noch mit in die Stadt genommen und alles gezeigt. Wir hatten wunderschöne Weihnachtstage mit Kamin etc. Es war wunderbar ruhig. Die Cela Bar war geschlossen.

Wir sind nun schon das 2, Mal in zwei Monaten in diesem wundervollen Haus und wir lieben es! Es ist blitzsauber, es ist schön eingerichtet, der Garten mit dem kleinen Pool ist wundervoll. Zur Begrüßung findet man frische Blumen, Mineralwasser, Kaffeepads und Azorenmilch auf dem Küchentresen. Wenn ich nun einen Wunsch äußern MÜSSTE, lieber Julio, dann wäre es eine Käsereibe : -) Ansonsten ist alles perfekt! Bis ganz bald!

Netter persönlicher Empfang und Verabschiedung durch Andreia. Sie war immer erreichbar. Parkplatz direkt vor der tür. Wohnung mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Monica was flexible when we had to twice ask to change our dates. The apartment is intriguing, a mix between 150-year-old building, but with a very modern, spotless interior. The location is beyond brilliant, steps away from Porto Pim beach and restaurants and a three-minute walk from the marina and downtown. We'll be back next year!

Die Wohnung ist grossflächig und sauber. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Die Aussicht von der Dachterrasse ist herrlich! Joao war immer sehr gut erreichbar und hat uns sogar vom Hafen zur Wohnung und zurück gebracht. Die Tücher wurden regelmässig gewechselt und der Müll geleert. Einzig in der Küche vermissten wir einige Sachen wie bspw. Backpapier oder Frischhaltefolie. Der Laden ist aber nicht weit weg und hat jeden Tag lange offen.

In dem Unterkunftshaus befinden sich drei seperate Wohnungen. Alle sind in einem Top Zustand, mit einem tollen Ausblick und gut ausgestattet. Leider fehlt es in der Küche an den essenziellen Sachen wie Öl und Gewürzen, das hätte uns gefreut. Ansonsten gibt es wenig zu bemängeln, gerade wenn man Katzen mag erfreut man sich über den täglichen Besuch der Streuner. Und natürlich ist der Whirlpool als Highlight nicht zu vergessen 👏

It was our 3rd stay at Agostinhas place, very good location 2 mins from the main Street, very quiet, beautiful garden, nicely decorated flat with lots of history of Faial. The host family is fantastic all around. We will be back next year!

Beautiful ground-level apartment that had everything I needed for my 4-day stay. As nice as the accommodation is, the best thing about the place might be the host Florencio who lives upstairs. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet Florencio, as he was called out of town to help with a friend’s medical emergency. However, he was very attentive to making sure I had good directions, local information, etc. before I arrived and was easily reachable for my questions and responded quickly during my stay. Five stars for the place, ten stars for Florencio —- highly recommended !

Perfect location in the heart of Horta. Easy to walk to the marina and all the restaurants and bars. The apartment was spotless and extremely spacious. Host is very responsive and extremely helpful. Excellent home for your visit to Faial.

Die Wohnung von Margarida ist äusserst hübsch und praktisch eingerichtet… uns fehlte es an nichts. Die Lage ist super zentral und gleichzeitig ruhig. Horta ist ein bezauberndes Hafenstädtchen. Margarida war eine super Vermieterin… ich kann diese schöne Unterkunft zu 100% empfehlen!

Eunice was an amazing host. She was always responsive, helpful and very kind. We had issues with the lock box and within 10 min she had the matter solved. We would definitely recommend Eunice as a host!

Thanks for a lovely stay in Madelana. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. The garden was a big bonus. Easy to walk to restaurants in town and very close to ferry terminal if you’re travelling to or from Faial.

Geweldig verblijf op Failal! De accommodatie heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, het is schoon en is mooi gelegen in ‘Varadouro’; je kan zelfs lopend naar het natuurlijke zwembad aan zee. De host geeft je veel informatie en tips en is goed bereikbaar! Aanrader!!

Siamo stati molto bene, la casa è in una zona perfetta per arrivare a piedi dappertutto. Abbiamo sempre ricevuto una risposta velocissima quando avevamo bisogno di aiuto. Tutto bene!

Sehr schönes Apartment, tolle Lage direkt am Meer. Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet. Kommunikation mit Paula und Ines war super und unkompliziert.
