I spent the weekend with my parents, husband, and brother at Joan’s lovely home in Arcata, CA. It provided a great space to hang out with family and was an awesome base for our exploration of the Redwoods. I only wish we had had more time! Joan was a lovely host

Always a magical stay

What a great little place! one of the cleanest Airbnb we have ever been to. The space is very charming with a lot of prime craftsmanship furnishing the first appt, as well as the home outside. Bed was hard for our liking, but that's just our preference, I'm sure there are a lot of people who prefer a hard bed, just not us :) All in all, we give it a 5 out of 5, because of the condition and charm of the space, as well as all the little touches they implemented that made us feel they went the extra mile to make our stay positive and comfortable.

Very unique like staying in an old time cabin. We felt like we stepped in a Time Machine. The cabin was detail oriented to create a charming environment. The wallpaper in the bathroom is very interesting old clippings. Fun addition. The porch and pond are so cute. We were too cold at the end of October to use other amenities like the copper spa or tubs.

amazing location, interior, & host!! definitely would recommend to any traveler trying to stay close to the redwoods but also get a taste of a cute little small town feel!!

We had a blast. Super peaceful & fun. It wasn’t difficult to get into bath spaces. The room was smaller than I imagined from the pictures but it was still roomy enough for two people. Would definitely go again.

Joan was very flexible and understanding with my late arrival. She provided extremely clear directions and turned the heat/lights on for me prior to me getting there at midnight. Her place is adorable and exactly as listed. She has recommendations for local spots as well. Highly recommend Joan and her place!

The private baths are so amazing!! I thought for sure there wouldn’t be enough hot water and I was pleased to be wrong!! The whole vibe is great!! Super chill and the living walkways are so freaking cool. The only areas I would say it was lacking is: The internet was horrible! I couldn’t even FaceTime my kiddo at home. The bistro lights along the porch stay on all night long and the blinds don’t block the light very well, so the bedroom doesn’t get dark. That may bother some people. Didn’t bother us at all! Everything really was great though I have sent the link to all my friends and family it’s very cool. We will be back!

Awesome place to stay in Arcata! Close to all the things to do in Redwood National Park. Downtown Arcata itself is super cute, walkable, with lots of restaurants, cafes, bookstores, and boutiques. The airbnb was nicely decorated and clean, as well as stocked with everything you need for a short weekend trip. Loved the outdoor gas fire place as well. Would stay here again!

Kate was fantastic, super responsive, friendly, and made check-in a breeze. The place was really clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this Airbnb for how clean it was, the big plush bath towels, massive bed and quality sheets. What a treat to stay somewhere again that the host takes pride in creating a safe and clean space for guests! I will definitely stay here again. Thank you Terri 🫶

Really cute, bright and clean place to stay for a few days! I enjoyed my time in Annie's cottage. There is a lot of light coming into this well decorated studio as it has several windows. It is also in a great location as it is close to the beach and the highway for visiting the redwoods and Eureka and Arcata. I would definitely come back here.

Ella’s place was amazing! Convenient location. Attention to detail! Super comfortable! She was a fantastic host answering any questions I had. This is an amazing property she has made truly beautiful!!! It was so close to everything, Arcata, the beach, trails, McKinleyville, Trinidad. She had a hair dryer in the bathroom which was great and even an instapot in the kitchen aside from a microwave and toaster and refrigerator. Fresh filtered water. Super private with no one disturbing you. I would love to stay there again!!!

We loved our stay and couldn’t recommend this home in a church more! So much history! Cheri and Paul are wonderful hosts. If you have the opportunity, stay here! It will be very memorable.

Nick's place was really nice. He put a lot of care and thought into making his AirBnB. It was really spacious. Kitchen was really nice and well stocked. Nick had great coffee there as well! Beds were super comfortable. Nick was super responsive as well. We really enjoyed our stay!

Quiet part of town, easy to find. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Kate and Chuck were friendly and attentive. The space was private, comfortable, warm (It was unseasonably cold during our stay) and clean. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Words can’t fully capture how beautiful this place is—you truly have to experience it for yourself. The views are breathtaking, the garden is stunning, and the peaceful surroundings make it feel like a true escape. You’ll fall asleep and wake up to the soothing sound of the ocean. Patty is a wonderful and attentive host. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Andrew was flexibile and let us arrive a little early. The unit was very comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tube. Definitely recommended. Andrew was a wonderful host!

Perfect location. Close enough to walk downtown to restaurants, grocery and shops. Host was incredibly responsive. I ran into an issue with the heat (user error on my end) and the host called to walk me through how to fix it. Bed was comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed and the place felt great to hang out in. Highly recommend.

Great little place to stay close to Redwood National Park!

We were moving our daughter to her college apartment and needed a place we could park with a trailer. Laurie was very helpful and communicative before booking, and equally great once we arrived. We loved exploring the property, having fresh eggs and picking blueberries. The fresh flowers in our suite were a lovely touch. The accommodations were as described in the listing. Our family loved meeting Laurie and her son and hope to stay here again.
