Rose Garden bungalow is part of Creekside Arts, an collective supporting the arts in Humboldt County. As a guest your will enjoy a quiet, cozy studio cottage situated on 2 landscaped acres surrounded by redwoods, a 10 minute drive to either Arcata or Eureka. There is much to discover and experience right on the property: a library, perfect for reflection and writing; fruit trees, roses and other flowers, vegetable garden, an artist gazebo/studio, our chickens and bees, and a bocce ball court.

Located in one of the earliest developments of McKinleyville. Our 710 sq. ft. attached guest house has a small fenced in yard and sits close enough to stroll down to view the ocean or take a 5 min. drive to enjoy the local Hammond hiking/bike trails, and nearby shops and restaurants. An easy trip from Arcata airport (ACV) or Hwy 101 and close access to the areas known beaches, redwood forests, lagoons and marshes to explore. Humboldt Cal Poly is located just 6 miles South.

The Surf Sanctuary retreat is minutes away from remote beaches and redwoods. Please note: Redwood Park is 30 minutes away, not 1 hour. Perfect for a couple seeking a coastal getaway. Located in sunny Cutten, this charming, fully furnished and newly updated guest suite has everything you need for rest and relaxation. A short 3 min drive or 15 walk to lovely Sequoia Park, where you can take in the coastal redwoods on the many trails and experience the forest canopy on the newly completed Skywalk. This beautiful area offers lots of unique attractions, natural beauty, delicious foods and fabulous wine.

NO FIRES ALLOWED - anyone who breaks this rule will be fined $300.

The YumYum Bungalow Cottage

The YumYum is an eclectic studio cottage nestled between town center and the redwood forest. The Community Redwood Forest, Cal Poly, and the Arcata Plaza are all just a short, lovely neighborhood walk away. The cottage was lovingly created using all natural (and often local materials). Most of the wood is salvaged old-growth meaning it might be as old as 2,000 years! Hosting is our passion and we take pride and joy in the honor to welcome you.
