This is a free-standing home built specifically as a vacation rental cottage in early 2020. It is a quiet, comfortable space in a rural setting with a private patio and views of the Sierra foothills. It is a perfect spot for a family or couple wanting to visit the National Parks nearby (80 min. to Yosemite, 120+ to Sequoia and Kings Canyon). We named the home "Liichichi Uuchum", which is Hummingbird Home in the local Miwok language because of the hummingbirds in the area. There is evidence of Miwok daily life on this 10-acre property located in a peaceful Oak valley with granite boulders and a seasonal stream. El Portal into Yosemite is a 1 hour scenic drive and Mariposa town is 10 mins. Guests have full and private access. A solar array on the roof and the all-electric home makes your vacation rental with us carbon-neutral.
