Edam-Volendam: soggiorni in alloggi adatti ai bambini

Wir waren zwar nur für ein Wochenende dort aber wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Das Haus ist noch schöner als es auf den Bildern aussieht und es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Auch einiges an Gewürzen sowie Koch Utensilien- es wurde einfach an alles gedacht.

Heel erg genoten van het verblijf bij Kristien! Alles in de accommodatie was precies wat we zochten voor een fijn weekend! Heel fijn dat we de fietsen konden lenen voor een bezoek aan Volendam en de croissantjes in de ochtend waren een leuke verrassing! De knusse aankleding van de woning was een mooi pluspunt.

We visited as a family of four with our dog, and the house was a perfect space for our stay. Martijn's house is in a convenient location, Purmerend, in a nice and quiet neighborhood with convenient access to supermarkets and restaurants. The location has easy access to Amsterdam (in 30 minutes by car or public transportation) and to other attractions, like Dutch villages Zaanse Schans and Volendam within 20 minutes by car. There are nice beaches within 30-40 minute drive, and it is also easy to go north or south to explore anywhere in the Netherlands from the house. Martijn is a warm and responsive host. He is very flexible and helpful in providing information. The house is well equipped with almost everything you'd need for a relaxing holiday with family. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend Martijn's house for a summer holiday!

Would highly recommend this place, we had a wonderful stay - only problem that it was too short. Well located, easy to find. Ebbie met us at the property with a warm welcome and it felt like she had opened her home to us. The property had everything that you could ask for and more, so we felt like we were getting a real dutch living experience. Edam is so beautiful, the people so friendly. It was so easy to pop in to Amsterdam for the day. A much better experience than staying in Amsterdam itself.

Our 8-day stay in the Holland countryside was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and straightforward—everything was clearly explained and easy to follow. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel completely at home from the start. The house itself was spotless—super clean and fresh, clearly cared for with love. It looked exactly like the photos and matched the description perfectly, which was such a pleasant surprise. We also really appreciated the helpful instructions and thoughtful local recommendations that made exploring the area so much easier and enjoyable. The rural setting was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature, yet still very walkable. We spent many mornings simply enjoying the serenity of the countryside. This stay was an absolute gem and a fantastic deal for everything we got. We’re very grateful for the experience. Highly recommended! ☺️❤️

It was our first time in Volendam and we felt immediately welcome when arriving at Jessie's and Johan's place. The apartment looked just like in the pictures and was very nicely furnished. One highlight was the screen with projector. We had a great time exploring Volendam and Marken and would definitely come back.

We really enjoyed our stay in Edam it was a beautiful little town with canals and lots of greenery.. very easy to get a bus to and from the city centre of Amsterdam and nice to come back to such a warm cozy space at the end of a day of exploring. We stayed over new years and the fireworks did not disappoint Edam knows how to put on a show! Claudio was extremely helpful and kind he even helped us get back inside when we locked ourselves out one night. Checking in was easy even when I had communication issues on my end. My friends and I highly recommend.

We had such a lovely time here! We stayed at Anje place with our 4 year old. The house was easy to get into using a key safe, check in was therefore flexible. The house is light and airy, really beautiful, we felt relaxed and tight at home. Our son absolutely loved it too, all the ‘new’ toys, trampoline, outdoor toys and books. The kids’ bed were a big hit too! It is a very child friendly house! Hector the cat is very gentle, enjoys company, ans super easy to look after, we all really enjoyed him being around. Lovely modern bathroom. Useful to have access to a washing machine with young children! Edam is stunning, and not too touristy. Anje recommended a beach and a restaurant, ice cream that we went to and both were great. Cycling around the area was fab too!

YOU GOTTA STAY HERE! Ok, now that I’ve said the most important thing before running out of space, here are some details: Edam is without a doubt the loveliest town we visited in The Netherlands (and we saw A LOT). The hosts were perfect, sent lots of info and tips ahead of time and were at the apartment to let us in when we got there. Clear, easy instructions, beautiful clean apartment, fresh flowers and bulbs, tea, coffee and a few other staples were provided. There’s a balcony AND a backyard and lots of windows with lots of light, incl. the morning sunrise. Very close to a bus stop AND the bus station for more buses. A FAB farmers/cheese market outside the door every Wednesday. SO many shops, grocery stores, restaurants, pubs, basically on the same street. Museums, art, souvenirs, canal and all the history you could hope for. I seriously did not want to leave. It was a great “home base” and easy to get to lots of other historic towns including Amsterdam. It is GREAT, don’t hesitate.

The place was surprisingly amazing, the house was clean and had everything needed for a fine holiday. I highly suggest people to stay there. There are 2 couples bedroom and a huge bedroom with 7-8 beds. A huge dining room, kitchen was nice. A big balcony with sofas and tables. You can have a fine dinner just outside as there are many restaurants. We got 15% discount on one meal which was a great deal. You can find any means of transportation with in 15 minutes walk. All kinds of shops are avaliable in the area. Amsterdam central is not so far away. Everything was good. Highly recommended. 🤩🤩

Eine sehr saubere und gemütliche Wohnung, eingerichtet mit viel Gesmack! Die Kopfkissen hatten sogar Antiallergiebezuge, da meine Tochter Allergiker ist. Edam hat uns sehr gefallen - im Unterschied zu touristischen Vollendam hatten wir hier Ruhe. Michel und Angelique sind sehr angenehm und freundlich, haben sich sehr bemüht, dass es uns gut ging. Wir haben ganz coole kleine Ferien in Amsterdam und Edam verbracht. Ich denke, ich komme hier wieder:)

Nous avons grandement apprécié ce logement charmant au cœur d'Edam. Le village est magnifique et à proximité d'Amsterdam, facilement accessible en bus. Le logement était impeccable et arrangé avec goût. Martien est un hôte sympathique, prévenant et faisant preuve de discrétion. je recommande et conserve cette adresse 👍

Herzlichen Dank für den sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Wir hatten eine gute Zeit! Lage ideal für einen Trip nach Amsterdam oder um mit dem Fahrrad die Gegend zu erradeln. Außergewöhnlich die Atmosphäre auf der Terrasse mit Blick ins Naturschutzgebiet! Gern wieder!

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön... Die Unterkunft war sauber, gemütlich und wie beschrieben. Yafit und Jerry sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage war für unsere Ausflüge nach Amsterdam ideal – sowohl mit dem Bus als auch mit dem Fahrrad ist man schnell und bequem in der Stadt. Wer eine gemütliche und gut angebundene Unterkunft für einen Amsterdam-Trip sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

We had an amazing stay at Ingrid’s place. She was a fantastic host, even meeting us in person when we arrived (which we really appreciated), and she shared great local tips for food and sights. The bright, clean suite had everything we needed, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we've had at an Airbnb. We loved the back garden and sitting by the canal out front. Ingrid provided two bikes, which we used daily—it was an easy 5–8 min ride to the ferry, then less than 5 min across to central Amsterdam. Shops, groceries, and restaurants were also just a short bike ride away, and a metro station was nearby (about a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute bike ride). After busy days exploring, it was so nice to return to Ingrid’s home. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone wanting to experience both the city and a peaceful local neighborhood. Thanks again Ingrid!

Toen mijn vrienden en ik aankwamen bij het appartement, waren Ineke en haar familie nog druk bezig met de schoonmaak van de AirBnB. Toch namen ze de tijd om ons hartelijk te verwelkomen. We arriveerden op Koningsdag en werden bovendien aangenaam verrast met heerlijke tompoezen! Vanaf het begin werd alles duidelijk uitgelegd en ook tijdens en voor ons verblijf verliep de communicatie met Ineke bijzonder vlot. Op elke vraag die ik stelde, kreeg ik snel een vriendelijk antwoord. Ik ben Ineke en haar familie ontzettend dankbaar voor de warme ontvangst en het propere, verzorgde appartement waarin we mochten verblijven! ☺️

Nathan’s place for me is very accessible. It was not far from the city center. It was situated in a cozy neighbourhood with good restaurant (esp. Restaurant Freud) and cafe (esp. Moods). It is easy to communicate with Nathan, he answer inquiries fast.

Deuxième séjour dans l’appartement de Monique en moins d’une année. Joli appartement très bien entretenu, très lumineux, dans le secteur Nord d’Amsterdam, à l’écart des foules de touristes, mais très facile d’accès vers le centre touristique d’Amsterdam. De plus, l’appartement est très sécuritaire, joliment décoré, literie, duvet et serviettes de qualité. Nous recommandons cet appartement sans aucune hésitation et nous comptons bien y retourner si l’occasion se présente. Merci à Monique et Niels.

Appartement lumineux, spacieux et très propre, a proximité des transports en commun pour rejoindre le centre d'Amsterdam en 15 min ! J'y reviendrai avec plaisir, encore merci !

Great location, right next to the Metro. Enough local restaurants, and very easy to get to Centraal. Can walk to the ferry station even, and get to Centraal for no cost. A little distant for organized, out of town tours. Ended up having to go to Centraal for them. Wonderful place to stay in for visiting Amsterdam.

Tim & Elizabeth were awesome hosts. When we first arrived, Tim picked us up at the ferry dock and offered to drive us to the grocery if we shopped when we first arrive. They also brought us croissants & orange juice one morning and had us over for drinks the evening before we left. The houseboat is a 15-20 minute walk from the free ferry which takes you directly to the Central Station. There are also a couple groceries and a few restaurants within walking distance. Multiple modes of mode of public transportation are also available. We loved staying here. Located on a quiet canal with numerous houseboats, it was relaxing and peaceful. One of our favorite morning activities was to feed the swans and other water birds that appear outside the siding door; Tim and Elzabeth provide special kibble for them. If you are looking for a quiet place slightly removed from bustle of central Amsterdam, this is ideal!
