East Wittering: soggiorni in cottage

Jan & Ben's place was just what we needed and had been looking forward to based on the property description and photos. All rooms were beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, perfectly sized for our short break with our two greyhounds. Comfortable and spacious accommodation with well equipped kitchen, great water pressure, with central heating working really well on cool nights. The hot tub was well enjoyed, too. The hosts were very friendly, the surroundings very peaceful and well maintained. The only thing we regretted was not having booked a longer holiday!

Great stay with hot tub and open fire! If you're looking for a romantic getaway and country walks on your door step with great pubs, this is your place! So well equipped from kitchen to robes and slippers. Warm, homely and private. really enjoyed our stay.

Had a great time at the Wisteria Lodge - very clean, hosts were very friendly and was perfect for a quiet getaway from the city. Would recommend!

Haviland Cottage was a really lovely place to stay - clean, tidy and comfortable. Description was spot on! Beautiful house, lovely decor and very comfortable beds. Plenty of towels both for inside and the hot tub. The grounds were stunning and very well maintained. Lots of different areas - our dogs loved the outside areas. Dogs were well catered for - beds, blankets, bowls etc. Kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery. Dish washer tablets and washing pods provided which was a bonus. Was a perfect getaway with our family. All so good, would highly recommend a stay here!

Had the nicest weekend away here, a very beautiful property with stunning views. The house was extremely well equipped and spacious, and the hot tub was delightful. Neil was a friendly host who kindly showed us around and how to use everything upon arrival. Would 100% recommend and would love to come back.

The converted stable has been finished to a very high standard and is absolutely beautiful. Fabulous bathroom with a lovely roll top bath as well as an excellent shower. Kitchen finished to a very high spec with all needed utensils in place. Bed was extremely comfortable with great quality pillows & duvet. The hot tub was the icing on the cake, which we enjoyed every day. We were lucky enough to see two red squirrels when out walking early in the morning as well as a barn owl 🥰

Absolute perfection and nothing less! Run like a 5 star resort. Stunning grounds, well thought out extras and extremely cosy. The pond and animals are a bonus as they make the visit feel even more homely. The shop is adorable and such a clever idea. The place was immaculate. Cannot complain one bit. Don’t give it a second thought.

Lovely little cottage. Really cosy and plenty of space. Great pubs nearby all in walking distance, and some lovely walks too. Great place to take the dogs! Thank you for such a lovely break!

Lovely cottage, ideal for short break to Wittering. Short 15 min drive to the beach. The cottage was immaculate and very peaceful. Anne-Marie was a fabulous host

We had a wonderful time staying here, the surroundings were so beautiful and every part of the hideaway was a pleasure. The hosts were great and were very patient with our very excitable puppy. This place will now hold special meaning to us as we got engaged in front of the view from the bedroom terrace. Thanks very much for a lovely stay!

Comfortable cottage, well appointed in a peaceful village close to some lovely walks.

A bijou, charming retreat with a lovely garden to relax with a glass of wine in the evening. We chose Elm Cottage due to its proximity to Goodwood Aerodrome where my husband was doing a Top Gun Experience. Perfectly located for his event. The Welcome Pack for us (and our pooch!) and fresh flowers were a nice touch. A lovely stay.

Peaceful location, annexe equipped with all necessary amenities, great place to stay and lovely location . Slept well , owners very friendly and responsive.

Enjoyed our time at this greatly located airbnb - our second time (different host before) It's in a great spot by the sea and off-season represents great value for money. Whilst selsey isn't a West Wittering etc. it's nice and accessible with some shops and pubs nearby. Recommend going to the fishmongers nearby too! We mostly enjoyed the bath views & sitting at the table facing the sea/cliffs outside

Charming property with lots of character in a fantastic location. The cottage had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Simon was a great host, he shared lots of great tips and was very proactive at staying in touch during our stay. We visited with two children and a dog, everyone enjoyed the holiday. The location of the cottage is perfect for exploring Ventnor- the children are already asking when we’ll be coming back! Thanks for a great stay.

A lovely cottage, with very cool furnishings and overall style. It's a little cold, a little small, and perhaps lacking in modern conveniences, but with a cottage of this unique nature that's not what you're going for anyway. The cottage is a little awkwardly placed on the corner of a main road, but its not particularly busy, and the wider location (Godshill, Niton, Ventor) means there's lots of the IoW's best bits only a few minutes drive away. Def worth a visit if you like staying in more unusual, aesthetically-pleasing buildings.

Great little find! Loved the outdoor space where we were able to sit and have food with family. Log burner was lovely in the evening and made it even more cosy. Shower was hot and powerful and the kitchen had everything we needed. Will recommend and will definitely book again

Great quirky 2 bed right in the heart of Arundel. As a young family of three we very much wanted a place with the bedrooms on the same floor and this hit the mark. We’ve stayed in several airbnbs over the years in Arundel and they pretty much all have steep stairs, as this one did, which is no exception. Mark actually lives here part time so this place feels the way airbnbs used to: full of homey items, a fully stocked spice rack, cooking utensils etc (so many places don’t even leave you with salt these days). Added bonus were all the children’s toys and books accessible if desired- very much our case. The apartment is in a cute cottage on a public parking lot and at the back of a pub I think, so although there is definitely some daytime commotion, it is surprisingly quiet at night. Thank you mark- the welcome chocolates were promptly enjoyed and we will certainly be back!

Amazing place to stay. Every detail is covered. It is a beautiful, peaceful location in lovely grounds to walk around. Hot fresh pastries were delivered each morning which was a lovely way to start the day. Well location for many attractions. We will definitely return in the future.

Fantastic two bedroom property. I really recommend this for exploring the west end of the South Downs. We walked and cycled several sections during our stay. The property is finished to a high standard and is well equipped. It was great to have the use of a washing machine when we returned to the property with muddy clothes after exploring. We'd like to go back in the future.

Lovely property and location. Excellent base for exploring the south coast and Westbourne village is very pretty. Recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was clean, attractive, comfortable, and well-supplied. It was plenty spacious for four people. The village was charming and provided delightful walks through the narrow streets.

Teresa is a great host. Always ready to communicate and left lots of provisions. The cottage was quaint and airy with a real fire ready to go if you wanted. The surrounding area was beautiful and with some sheep too. Didn't attempt a walk but would be recommended to do so.
