The Kaleidoscope

Enjoy the sounds of nature when you stay in this unique place. Nestled close to Historic Hillsborough, your front door opens up to a forest with a trail running down to a creek. This newly renovated schoolbus conversion features two skylights looking up into the trees, making it feel open and bright, despite being a small space. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and cutlery as well as fridges and microwave so you can prepare what you need. A shower and composting toilet installed inside.

Historic 1891 Mill House 2 blocks from Downtown!

First built in 1891 as just a "place to sleep" for the men working at the local cotton and tobacco mills. Restored and enlarged in 2012 with modern amenities while maintaining the home's unique history. The original brickwork, hardwood floors, foundation, roof and most of the original exterior walls are preserved! (now as internal walls!) Pair that with gas stove, granite countertop, artisan reclaimed wood center island, modern en-suite master bedroom and large flat screen TV's.

The Magnolia is a multi-story treehouse, nestled on a charming wooded lot, minutes to downtown Hillsborough, NC. This 1950 bungalow is a spacious, peaceful and comfortable place to stay for any travel need. It has two workstations, high-speed wifi, 4K TV, and a well-equipped kitchen with new appliances. The backyard is large with a grill and seating area overlooking oak trees. The bungalow is located right next to Northgate Park, with dog parks, tennis courts, picnic area and walking trails. Downtown, Duke University, Duke Medical Center and Duke Hospital are just a short bike ride away.

Rustic Cabin on a Working Farm in Durham

Come get away from it all—while conveniently close to everything—at Laurel Branch Gardens, a 12-acre farm that uses organic growing practices. About 100 yards from the farm house, the cabin is a renovated tobacco barn with a sleeping loft, full kitchen, bathroom (with a shower and composting toilet), and living area. Meet the pigs and chickens. Lay in the hammock. Listen to bird calls. During June and July u-pick blueberries will be available for harvest for $3.50/lbs.
