Laurie was in active service until September '22. Now retired from horse movement and fitted to sleep four (see photos). Wrap around deck with steps to the side living door seating area to the rear with lovely views over open countryside. Living area with mini kitchen, hot and cold water, microwave combi, two hobs, fridge & freezer compartment, table & seating for four. Log burner in living area. Fishing on farm. Indoor exercise pool payable locally. (Subject to availability) Toilet 10 meters.

Parsons Pen - stay in beautiful isolation

Parsons Pen offers different type of camping. Set in a copse, with a flat grassed clearing, nestled on a sheltered hill on a working family farm. You rent the entire site, which is yours alone, ideal for families and groups of friends. There will be no other guests unless you decide to invite them to join you. Located in West Dorset near the Jurassic coast, Bridport & Beaminster. The site has extensive views of rolling valleys and deciduous woodlands, a short walk gives glimpses of the sea.

Price is per night per person - extra guests incur extra charge. Stay in an eco-project field, use as a base for exploring or simply stay where you are, enjoying the peace and quiet. Please be aware that low cost comes with a need for you to be environmentally sensitive to your water use and waste disposal. You can bring dogs (sheep in next field) and you can light a fire in the firepit. the caravan is in its own secluded spot a way from the hard standing, in wet weather wellies advised.

Double bed with an additional small single bed available for young child and an equipped kitchen. Quirky, outside shower and toilet will provide a back to basics, memorable stay. Woodland walks, 3 pubs within walking distance, a treasure hunt, pushbikes and picnic area will provide entertainment.

The van has a soft squishy small double bed with two overhead skylights for lying back and watching the clouds or the stars. The van runs on solar power and if rubbish weather cannot juice up fully, so there are lanterns and fairy lights and candles for a romantic evening feel.

We are a 10 minute drive away from Dorchester which was the home town of Thomas Hardy. Also local to us are lots of lovely seaside towns such as Weymouth & Swanage and the ruins of Corfe Castle.
