Samadhi Cottage is nestled in the heart of the magical and mystical Amatola Mountains, in the village of Hogsback Eastern Cape. The cottage is a 5 minute drive (15 minute walk) from the shops and restaurants. There is a double bed downstairs in the living room and upstairs three single beds suitable for older children or young adults that can climb steep, narrow stairs.

My cozy yet spacious rustic eco-cabin is nestled in a beautiful natural setting with spectacular mountain views and is well positioned to enjoy beautiful morning and afternoon light. Watch the full moon rise over the Hogsback mountains, enjoy dazzling sunsets or a large bonfire under the stars. It is a perfect place for couples seeking a relaxing and romantic weekend, a family or friendship getaway or a place to work (wifi reception is good and there is a large worktable).

Romantic Studio-Cottage at Maple Grove in Hogsback

Studio cottage with king bed and single "stack" beds. These beds are ideal for 2 children sharing with parents. As it is open-plan it is only suitable for a couple or small family. Fully equipped, Wi-Fi, TV, Fireplace. Fridge, oven/hob & microwave. There is no washer and dryer in The Cottage but laundry can be done in the communal laundry at a nominal charge. Please note that Wi-fi signal can be sporadic especially in summer with all the trees in leaf.

Katberg House 101

A lovely 4 bedroom home situated in the beautiful Katberg Eco Golf Estate. Set on a spectacular 400-hectare estate high in the Winterberg Mountains. This tranquil mountain retreat offers an 18 hole championship golf course, superb club house and pool in a secure, secluded estate. The home offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus an outside bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Enjoy mountain views while sitting around a lovely big fire pit surrounded by nature.

The Cabin

Suitable for a single person or a couple. It is equipped for self-catering, and consists of one open-plan room with a double bed, a kitchenette and an en-suite bathroom with shower. There is a heater, not a fire-place. The cabin has a wooden deck and is in a peaceful and pretty garden setting. It is a few meters away from The Bluff walk, a 3km circular path with lovely views. The Edge restaurant is less than a 5 minute walk from the cabin.

Uniondale Lodge, Fort Governor's Estate

Uniondale Lodge is situated in the 10,000HA Fort Governor's Estate game reserve just outside Grahamstown. The Lodge has been recently re-vamped and provides all the home-away-from-home comforts that you need. It is the ideal getaway for a group of friends or families looking to relax, unwind and spend time in nature. PLEASE NOTE : Access to all our lodges is via a farm dirt road. We are a working farm so road conditions are variable.

The property is entirely independent from Eskom power supply.
