River's Edge - Private Suite

Our home is located in historic Louisa County in Central Virginia on a five-acre wooded lot facing the South Anna River. Richmond is 30 minutes away and Charlottesville is less than an hour. The entire lower level of our home is used for the Airbnb. (We live in the upper level.) The decor is "homey" with some personal items. Children, pets, and smoking are not allowed. The internet is fast and cell phones work with WiFi calling. Food deliveries are not available due to our remote location.

Pullman Train Car at Rassawek

Our Pullman Car is one of 3 converted train cars available for rentals. The car was built by Pullman Co. in 1888. Guests staying in this car have access to the shared amenities of Rassawek Station including the patio “Flat Car” and our Lodge Cabin. Guests can also use the ponds on the property as well as the 5+ miles of private country roads for hiking, running and biking. The converted car has a living area, full kitchen, a bedroom with two double beds, a full bath with shower and a half bath.

Private lower level houses 2 bedrooms with 2 queen size beds, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen & game room. Game room has Billard's, Foosball, Ping Pong, Pinball machine, Putt Putt golf, & bean bag toss (cornhole). The Boat House has 4 lounge chairs and free kayaks & paddle boards to use. Tie up your own boat to the dock or boat rental. Fishing is Free from the boat house. Across the street is The Boardwalk, which is Tims restraunt & Crabhouse & Bar, Moo Thru Ice Cream, Delli, & Miniature Golf.

Glamping at its absolute finest. This glass mirror cabin allows for amazing panoramic views. Unwind in the outdoor two-person cedar sauna, relax in a cedar wood burning hot tub that also doubles as a cold plunge, cook on a Pyro Tower grill and pizza oven combo (Pizza dough, sauce, cheese, and pepperonis included), enjoy the tranquil natural stone water feature, warm up by the outdoor fireplace, pollinator garden attracting butterflies/hummingbirds. Black out curtains provide privacy at night.

This is a wonderful location for exploring all of wine country, unwinding from the hustle of busy life, and then taking in the sunset in this quiet country setting with rolling hills as your backdrop!

Enjoy Swimming, Kayaking, SUP, Fishing, Hiking, Biking, Exploring, or just relax on your own beach by the fire pit. Open the garage door in the living area and step out on the 300 square foot screened in porch where you can relax at the firepit under the covered roof. On the porch at Hidden Haven, we like to say, "time wasted is time well spent". The romantic vibe and modern amenities make it a prefect place for a couple's getaway.

Cozy 3BR, 2BA cottage in rural Virginia—perfect for peaceful getaway. Each bedroom has a king bed, plus daybed and pullout sofa for up to 7 guests. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TV, washer/dryer, and a dedicated workspace. Guests have full private use of the cottage and outdoor areas. Hawkwood House is close to Charlottesville, VA. It is in a 100-acre wood. Two guests share downstairs bedroom. Guests may use upper floor only with prior arrangements. It is a very quiet, peaceful setting. It is located near historic sites from colonial times of the United States and the Civil War and near Charlottesville VA and homes to three early US presidents (Monticello, Ash Lawn and Montpelier).
