My house lies in the heart of Chania in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood just 800 m. away from the Old Town and only 15 min walk from the nearest sandy beach. An ideal spot for friends or couples to discover real Crete. The apartment is on the second floor of a family building and has been recently fully renovated in creative and effortless way. A small balcony with mountain view, a fully equipped kitchen,a sunny and cool living room and a cozy bedroom with a double comfy bed are all yours ! You will also be pleased to find lots of English books, a high-speed internet connection, a coffee machine, air conditioning and fresh cretan products that will be waiting for you in the house to make your stay relaxing and memorable. During your stay we will assist you any time needed. Within walking distance you will find the Central Bus Station (400 m.), grocery stores, supermarkets (300 m) and a pharmacy (100 m.) In case you want to take a trip , the exotic beach of Falassarna, the astonishing lagoon of Balos and the breathtaking Samaria gorge are highly reccomended! My apt is next door so if I am not traveling, we will be neighbors and will try to offer a high quality hospitality by letting you know about local festivals, hidden gems and favorite spots :-) The apartment is in the center of the city – only a short walk from the Old Town – but away from the crowded tourist area. The closest beach is 800 m.away. Bakery, super market and pharmacy are all within walking distance. Every Wednesday there is an open-air farmers' market in the neighborhood. We recently installed an optical fiber based network, so that you can work remotely reliably with stability and internet speed of 100 Mbps. The central bus station is only 5 mins walk, so the access to the airport, as well as all beaches and villages is very very easy. The Old Port is just a 15 min walk. If you still decide to rent a car, parking will not be a problem around the area! This is a smoking free apt. Please enjoy your cigarette on the balcony !

The architectural mix of wood and stone of the old building, the twinkling lights, the warm colors and the modern furnishings create an effect of romantic elegance, warmth and an intimate atmosphere that both relaxes and refreshes. ONAR VERDE loft has 2 comfortable bedrooms with fine linen, a stylish living room, a spacious bathroom with washing machine and fresh towels and a fully equipped kitchen. It is fully Air conditioned and has an excellent wifi connection to stay in touch with the world. In the terrace upstairs you can enjoy your morning coffee or your wine while watching the Old city from above. Wander the picturesque alleys of the old town within walking distance of the old port and shops, bars and restaurants. The nearest beach, Nea Chora, is 15 minutes away, with a small fishing port, a broad sandy beach, and many good fish restaurants. ONAR VERDE doesn't offer a parking spot, but in a walking distance of 5 minutes there is a free of charge municipal parking area (Plateia Talos) where our guests can park their car.

Cretan Traditional Stone House of 1850 in the Nature and Flora of Chania

The house is located in a small traditional village which consists of two neighborhoods built on two elongated hills and separated by a ravine. At the bottom of the ravine is a very old stone fountain with trees. The houses are masterfully built of stone on the successive levels of the two hills thus providing a beautiful traditional settlement. The view to the opposite villages are impressive. The flora is especially rich in herbs and medicinal herbs such as oregano, thyme and labdanum.
