I needed a little break from my every day Vermont life. This was the perfect spot to get away from everything, but still not be far from home. I would definitely go back! Thank you so much!

Ed and Rick were thoughtful and caring hosts who paid attention to every detail. The yurt was magical. Building a campfire and walking with the goats felt purposeful and calming.. We found our experience to be relaxing and rejuvenating and renewing to the soul. "The earth does not belong to us; we belong to the earth". "Time spent amongst trees is never wasted time". "A walk in nature walks the soul back home".

The feeling of going into the treehouse, with the presentation from the host, really give me the feeling of one part of the disney world. It is a little pricey but I think it definitely worth the experience. The host is amazing. She tried to accommodate all our request and is just super helpful and nice all the time. Would definitely visit again.

Great spot to explore some of Vermonts ski hills. Sharon and Mark were fantastic. The Yurk is an amazingly relaxing and comfortable space. Unique and worth the experience.

I really enjoyed my stay in Kelly’s yurt. It was really cozy and clean and had everything I needed. The furniture was all very comfortable, and the kitchen had all the basics. I loved that I could hear running water from the brook outside. The place is pretty close to Montpelier and not too far from a lot of other places. I have a car that’s low to the ground and I was nervous driving it on the dirt road the yurt is on with the heavy rain while I was there, but my car was totally fine—no issues at all. This place is great—I recommend!

If you are looking for a cozy getaway to the woods that keeps you close to both cities and beautiful wild areas, this is it. The walk back to the yurt is private and beautiful -- between the fall foliage, the little mushrooms growing along the path, and all the chipmunks and squirrels there to greet you, it's something out of a storybook. The place is lit up well at night, with very cozy lighting inside as well! The woodstove was enough to keep me warm, even as a person now accustomed to Florida weather, and there were SO MANY blankets made available just in case. It was so lovely to lay in bed at night and watch the stars through the top of the yurt and listen to the acorns fall and roll down the sides - I've never slept more deeply at an Airbnb. The bathroom is outside, but the motion lights at night made it easy to go about my business. If you're a camper, it will feel like a luxurious little setup! I couldn't recommend it enough. Such a wonderful place to take a breather!

My husband, 10 month old daughter and I had an amazing time! This was our daughters first camping trip and it was exactly what we needed. The yurt had everything you could need and was extremely clean. I saw comments about the dogs barking although they did not bother us at all. Our baby slept through the night and was not disturbed by them at all. Our daughter had a great time cruising around the yurt and outside and we felt right at home. Scott and Kathy were easy to reach and answered any questions we had. We definitely plan to stay again in the future.

We loved staying at this beautiful Yurt! Everything was so well decorated and clean it was an incredibly peaceful stay. Shari made sure we had everything that we needed to have an enjoyable stay, including a surprise welcome basket with some smores supplies :)

Spent a wonderful night in the yurt! Got there after dark and got in no problem thanks to motion lights and an easy to find lock box. Heat worked fine, bed was cozy, view was to die for and we had everything we needed for the night!

We had a lovely weekend at the yurt!! Will definitely return again!!!

We had a great time staying at Mia and John’s cute yurt. The snow and cold weather made it that much more cozier and we can’t wait to experience it when the weather is warmer!

The yurt was the absolute perfect getaway. It had everything we wanted and needed. The outdoor shower was beyond my expectations. I’ve stayed in places with outdoor showers that were very glitchy and not warm. This one was so functional and nice and warm against the cool autumn air. There were even cute trails behind the yurt. The wood stove was so magical as well and Craig & Karen were so kind and responsive. 5 stars all around - if you’re thinking of booking this place, DO IT!!!

Where do I start!? We traveled to Maine with zero plans and quickly decided to make our long weekend a road trip. We booked this location the day of and the host immediately started helping us make plans for a ferry. We are NOT camping people but this was an amazing experience! The host picked us up from the ferry and took us right up to the door of the yurt. It was a chilly evening and she made sure to turn on the electric blanket and made sure we had enough fuel for the heater. The next morning she let us borrow two bikes and we rode to the general store for breakfast (very tasty and nice dogs, staff were wonderful as well!) and then to the beach. All the locals we met were very friendly! When it was time to leave the host was gracious enough to give us a tour of the island. We very much enjoyed staying here and will recommend it to everyone! Thank you SO much! This will go down as one of our favorite Airbnbs.

This was our first Airbnb and it set the bar high. Hector and his team have thought of pretty much every detail. Right down to the s’mores! I’ve always wanted to stay in a yurt, always felt attracted to the roundness, and this experience confirmed my hopes of how amazing it would feel to live in one. It was a very peaceful, very comfortable and cozy space to be in. We got to meet the animals and feed the goats too. Such a joy! Watching them graze was simply meditative. One day it rained a lot and we spent the entire day inside the yurt relaxing, listening to the calming sound of the rain, reading some of the wonderful selection of books provided, enjoying the wood stove and its heat. That was a brilliant rainy day! We left feeling reset, refreshed and rejuvenated which will resonate for us for many moons to come! So grateful for the experience, for the goats, chickens and ducks and of course for Hector. Rachel and Alyssa. Thank you all!

We are repeat visitors to Western Maine Yurts, although we had never stayed in this newer “village”. I liked the layout, proximity to the bathhouse yet still private & near the trails. We stayed in Kennebec. We were a last minute check in & Alex & Tricia were extremely attentive & accommodating! You really can’t go wrong with the experience they provide! We will be back!!

We adored this space - natural, calm, and friendly vibe. The yurt was very spacious and bright with many lighting options. On a chilly fall evening we found that the wood stove had been stocked and lit already - much appreciated!

Great and spacious place, with many amenities. Offers an amazing view of the stars! Located a fairly quick drive from various towns. Throughly enjoyed our short but sweet stay!

This was our first time in a yurt, and it was fantastic! Just the structure of the yurt itself was amazing to look at. The birch supports were beautiful and interesting. The beds were comfortable, the wood stove easy to use, and it kept us quite warm in 30-degree temperatures. Everything about the site was easy. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the appliances worked well. We had a wonderfully comfortable stay. The place felt both spacious and cozy. Even the porta-potty was more pleasant than others we have used. There were little extras that enhanced the experience -- a rocking bench and comfortable chairs around the firepit, unlimited firewood, decorations in the yurt, whimsical hand-blown glasses, and a step above typical dinnerware. Jamie went out of his way to accommodate us when we misread the listing and did not have water. He was gracious about supplying us with 5-gallon jugs that saved our weekend. We highly recommend Wild Acres and will eagerly return!

It is a wonderful yurt for flexible use. Huge stove and refrigerator so didn't have to drive to grocery often. Hiking the woods and streams was fascinating. Very peaceful all the time.
