We stayed with our two dogs and all of us really enjoyed a weekend away, the location is a nice close walk to the beach and only 2kms from the Main Street of Apollo bay so nice and easy to grab a morning coffee before heading out exploring. The backyard is very small and wouldn’t be escape proof with the gap by the carport and the very short fences but was no problem with our two as they stay close and don’t jump fences, really just enough for them to be able to go outside to the toilet before coming back in to lounge on their beds. Would happily stay here again 😊

The accomodation was clean and modern and spacious. Accessible to the beach, sea food coop, and the stretch of shops along the main beach boulevard. Parking garage was available and all the usual amenities were provided. Overall a great place to stay although the view of the beach was not full

Thank you for a wonderful stay. We loved the location, the views, cleanliness, tv and streaming access, well stocked kitchen with plenty of cleaning supplies, bbq, beautiful spa bath, lovely artwork, cosy lighting, oh and I nearly forgot one of the main things - the fantastic indoor wood heater with plenty of wood and also the fantastic communication with the owner who was so wonderful to deal with. Made our stay so easy with his clear instructions and amazing hospitality. Thank you for sharing your house with us with the gorgeous smells outside of the trees, fireplaces, and the sounds of the waves , it was an amazing and memorable stay away.

Such a lovely, clean, spacious and relaxing place! 2 minute by foot to the beach and a 20 minute walk to centre of town made it so accessible to everything. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again.

Great breakaway opportunity. Amazing animal life around the property, We had a koala welcome us in a tree right next to the property. The birdlife is exceptional. The venue was fully equipped to all our needs. Lovely stay.

We really enjoyed out stay at Tree Tops. Lovely peaceful location with great ocean views. Well appointed house with tasteful and comfortable furnishings. Very well equiped kitchen and bonus wood pizza oven outside that we made the most of. Great for more than one family or couples. All you need for a great family holiday.

We had a great one-night stay at The Blue Bollard. Joanne was a responsive and welcoming host, greeting us on arrival. The space was clean, tidy, and cutely decorated—just what we needed for a short stay. Conveniently located near Apollo Bay’s restaurants and pubs, it made exploring the area easy and enjoyable.

We had a comfortable one night stay at Tanya’s place with our pooch. The place is well set up for dogs with a fully fenced yard. We enjoyed listening to waves and waking up to a lovely view of the sea through the gum trees. The place is well set up for wheelchair access with a ramp, wide doorways, flat walk-in shower and spacious layout. The place is in a great location with just a short walk to the beach.

We have stayed at Helana’s place on several occasions. It has a very relaxed vibe and is reminiscent of my childhood holidays. It is in a great location, the yard is well fenced for our dogs and it has all the basics for a beach holiday with nothing pretentious. Thanks again Helana

I recently stayed at a stunning hillside Airbnb, and it was nothing short of magical. Nestled on a quiet, private hill, the property offered the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience. The views from the house were absolutely breathtaking—lush greenery surrounded the area, and every morning I was greeted with the sound of birds chirping and the peaceful sight of the sun rising over the hills. The home itself was beautifully designed, blending rustic charm with modern amenities. It felt cozy yet spacious, with large windows that allowed natural light to pour in and provide panoramic views of the landscape. I loved the outdoor space, which included a private deck perfect for sipping coffee while watching the sunset. What truly set this Airbnb apart, though, was the sense of tranquility. The only sounds were the breeze and nature, offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The host was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, ensuring everything was in place

Geoffrey’s place is beautifully presented and furnished. The bathrooms and kitchen are clean and well organised. Geoffrey had left milk, cereal and juice for us, which was such a welcoming touch. The bedrooms are really comfortable. We loved eating our breakfast out on the balcony after an early morning run. The location is spectacular, a short walk to the beach and town centre, where there is a great choice of local restaurants. Couldn’t have asked for a better host and stay. Thanks Geoffrey.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at the cottage. The place is well equipped and great location, just 15 mins out of Colac. Plenty of outdoor space for the pooches to play along with easy access to red rock lookout via a scenic walk direct from the property. We will definitely be back! Thank you Garry and Sharyn.

Great location, just off the main street. The super market just across the road was very convenient. Great cafes and restaurants within a short stroll. It got cold but there were plenty of blankets and the a/c made it nice and toasty. Sharee was a super friendly and responsive host. Great trip!

We loved our stay - although the space is on the smaller side, everything is very thoughtfully and practically arranged. We stayed with 2 small children with no issues. And the heated swimming pool and spa was a delight. Highly recommend this place for stopping over during great ocean Road trips.

We enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing two-night stay at Glen View as a stopover during our Melbourne to Adelaide journey on the Great Ocean Road. Johanna is a truly beautiful section of the GOR where rolling green hills and farmlands meet the ocean. The cottage is delightfully laid out and well provisioned, with quality bedding and toiletries, a lovely fire-place and a shed full of wood (and reverse cycle a/c for the summer months and the impatient!) A visit to the chicken shed to collect farm fresh eggs and the orchard for some lemons was a nice treat for us suburbanites! The kitchen is fully functional with pretty much all equipment you could need, including a coffee machine. Absolutely loved it! Highly recommend!!!

Three generations of my family returned to make some more wonderful memories. The views are gorgeous. The kids love running around the property, bouncing on the trampoline and even going for a dip in the pool. We LOVE staying here!

Had really nice stay at Johanna Seaside Cottages 'Farm House', was the perfect country escape we were looking for and the kids loved collecting fresh laid eggs in the morning and having access to an indoor heated pool. Only minor complaint was not being able to connect to the internet Friday evening and not being able contact our host after 5pm. That said, the property caretake (Ben) was super helpful when he checked in the next day. Would definitely recommend if looking for a country escape along the coast.

We have enjoyed a very peaceful week in Joanna Cottage. Despite a couple of stormy nights, we felt cozy and warm inside in front of the log fire. Such a stunning view! I loved visiting the hens for a couple of fresh eggs, and there was everything we needed inside the cottage to make for a comfortable stay. Our hosts were always available to help us with any questions. A wonderful place to stay.

This place was absolutely magical! The photos honestly don’t do it justice. I had no idea how expansive and breathtaking the farm would be until I arrived. Every little detail has been so thoughtfully considered, from the cozy interiors to the beautiful outdoor spaces. Waking up and walking up the hill to watch the sunrise over the ocean while ponies grazed nearby was something I’ll never forget. Mornings spent feeding the goats, with two incredibly friendly cats following me around the farm, made it feel like something out of a fairytale. At night, the fairy lights lit up the space in the most enchanting way, and relaxing in the hammock while looking out over the ocean was the perfect way to end each day. This experience was beyond anything I expected, peaceful, heartwarming, and full of beauty. I’m so grateful I got to stay here.

Place was clean and cosy. I felt it’s bit expensive and photos doesn’t match. Overall, good place for a short stay.

Sehr schönes liebevoll gepflegtes Anwesen! Viele Tiere (Ponnys, Ziegen und Katzen) Eine Katze (Timmi) war unser Guide zum Hauseigenen Lookout mit schöner Sicht bis Apollo Bay. Unser Zimmer, mit Ozean View, war sehr geräumig, gut ausgestattet und das Bad war wunderschön. Wir bekamen auch von Mike sehr gute Tipps für die nähere Umgebung und auch für unsere weitere Reise bekamen wir gute Infos. Sollten wir wieder mal die Great Ocean Road befahren würden wir definitiv wieder hier übernachten!!
