Clarklake: soggiorni in cottage

We had the most amazing time at Will’s home. It’s exactly as described. The home is so cozy and has everything you could ever need. We cooked in and went to a few of his recommended restaurants. Will was extremely responsive from booking to departure. We hope to stay again. Perfect location and the hot tub and deck are fabulous!

We live in Oakland county and just came out for a one night retreat to visiting some friends in Ann Arbor. Judy's place was great and we really enjoyed the stay. The surrounding is beautiful and the lake access is awesome. We did some bonfire and kayaking, the area has an upnorth feel. We appreciate the hospitality and will look to come back some time.

Where do we even begin? From the moment we arrived, it felt like staying with long-lost relatives who actually like you. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with thoughtful touches that screamed, ‘We’re overachievers, but in a good way.’ The hosts went above and beyond in ways that felt almost suspicious. We opened the fridge to find bubbly waiting for us (are we royalty now?), and there were chocolates on the counter like they somehow knew our love language. As if that wasn’t enough, we spent an unforgettable evening soaking in the hot tub while it snowed, overlooking the most serene lake view we’ve ever seen. It was like being in a Hallmark movie but without the small-town drama. Every detail was so thoughtful, from the cozy blankets to the recommendations that made us feel like locals. This wasn’t just a stay; it was an experience we’ll be talking about for years. If you’re considering booking, do it. Just don’t book the weekend we want to come back, okay?

My family stayed the weekend my son graduated from Adrian College. It was only a 30 min drive from the college, easy to get to as well. The cottage had plenty of room and seating and we had everything we needed. It was clean and very comfortable. The firepit was great to have and we loved the hot tub. We would stay again.

We had a lovely stay at this amazing home! It was a great long weekend get away for our family. The home was exactly like the pictured and Shelly’s communication was fantastic. We spent lots of time in the hot tub and playing ping pong. The deer walking through the snow and the beautiful surroundings made for a very relaxing weekend! We would love to come back in warmer weather and experience this home in other seasons. Highly recommend!

We traveled to the area for a wedding and appreciated finding a very reasonably priced place to stay for the 7 of us in our group. The house was clean and owners very responsive. As other reviewers have mentioned, the signage in the neighborhood against Airbnb's made us a little nervous, but we had zero issues with neighbors and the entire time we spent at the house was quiet and peaceful. The pizza place and general store near the house were great stops for food and drinks/snacks when we arrived in town. When our daughter forgot one of her dolls at the house, Greg quickly mailed it back to us which was very appreciated. If we had to do it over again, we would have gladly stayed in the same house.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. Couldn't have asked for more. Hosts were super helpful, friendly, responsive, all around excellent. The property was great, cozy, comfortable house with plenty of space to relax, beautiful yard, and of course access to a pristine and lovely lake. If you're looking for some peace and quiet, a little bit of nature, and some time on the water, you can't do much better than this.

We loved this cabin. Real kayaks to use and are easy to access. The yard is amazing, neighbors are nice and gave us tips about the lake. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. The house itself is incredibly clean and cozy, and has all the things you need. I read some previous reviews about the water; I can see why it’s surprising to people who have only had city water, but I think it’s pretty typical well water and is fine to use and drink. The owner also provided bottled water.

Great stay. Had an issue with water, but Maxine got it fixed asap and was super responsive. The lake was a little bit of a walk, but there is a golf cart you could rent it needed. The cottage was very clean and everything was labeled very well! Thank you again for your hospitality.

The house was quaint & cozy. The yard is large and the lake is really close. We were able to use their dock which was great! The boat launch was just a convenient 5 min walk from the house. The house was fully stocked with everything you’ll need for your stay and the neighbors were all friendly. The host was very responsive with communication. We would definitely recommend this rental, we had a great time.

Nice cottage lake place, remote enough to feel “away” but only 15 min from the interstate and stores. Would recommend!

I booked this for an out of town employee and it was a great price and location for the money. The host was great about communicating with me and my employee and even reached out about something being left behind; will use again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The unit was what we hoped for… Great Lakefront site, wonderful lake views from the unit, lots of space for relaxing, very nice, updated master suite and very nice furnishings

Beautiful and peaceful lakefront location. Wished we had more time to explore the chain of lakes. Dave's house was all remodeled, well provisioned and had many amenities. Would like to visit again.

Peaceful place to relax and enjoy for a long weekend. We were out and about during the daytime, but really enjoyed our evenings at the boat house. Spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the lake and watching the occasional boat go by. Had a bon fire one night which was in a perfect spot down closer to the lake. We brought a small Webber grill to cook on but used the gas grill instead which worked out nicely. Will definitely check if this place is available if I ever stay in the area again!

So cute! Loved the view of the lake. The porch was our favorite spot to hangout. Chris went above and beyond and the Cherry pie was to die for. We will return.

Absolutely loved our stay at this charming cottage! It was clean, cozy, and incredibly cute—just like the photos. The space had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. Great attention to detail, and the host was very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our second year staying at Tom's place. It was once again a wonderful time. The paddle boards and kayaks were a plus, just like last year! The living area and bedrooms were very comfortable and roomy. The sunroom was our favorite hangout place. And the sunsets very beautiful. This is a place we'll come back to every year. Beautiful Sunsets!!! We arrived to a very clean cottage with a perfect view of the lake. The lake had a nice sandy bottom which my grand kids would have loved if they could have been there. Heather did a great job of answering all the questions we had prior to arriving. In the spacious kitchen, I was amazed at how quickly the Induction stove boiled the large pot of water for the sweet corn. Lots of room in the living area, but more important was the large deck (all 10 of us fit comfortably) overlooking the lake and those beautiful sunsets! Thanks Heather it was a great stay!

The cottage was very nice. We loved all the amenities including the toiletry basket. It had anything you may have forgotten. Loved that it came with bath and beach towels, flotation devices for the lake, kayaks, and the family favorite, the paddle board. It made it so easy to pack and go and not worry about what we may have forgotten. The yard is big and beautiful leaving plenty of space for the kids to play.
