We had the most wonderful stay at Peter's property. We went for the Bluesfest but found it difficult to drag ourselves away from the serenity of the deck and river. Surrounded by a stunning and private garden, the flat had everything we needed for our 5 day stay, where we self catered breakfast out on the deck each morning and wandered down the road to the local bar, the Salty Mangrove, for lunch and dinner on different days. Our hosts were a fascinating couple who both allowed us privacy and space, while also being great for a chat and local recommendations. Two minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the local shop and bar, you can park your car and spend the weekend exploring the local sights and beaches on foot. We could not recommend this property more highly, what a treasure. Thank you both for such a wonderful stay.

This is an extremely beautiful property, with a peaceful view overlooking the lake - excellent for chilling out, supping, rowing and watching nature perform! The home is just as it looks in the photos, beautifully decked out and everything you need (and more). It's a short drive (5 mins) to the ocean and beach, and similarly to Coles and bakery etc in Ocean Shores. It was great for our family of four. Day trips to Brunswick Heads, Byron, even surfers paradise all possible (~30 mins drive) but staying put in Ocean Shores also 100% worth it for beach fun, surfing and relaxing. Would DEFINITELY come again.

Fantastic stay with Vivi, my partner and i booked this accommodation for Blues Fest, accommodation exceeded all expectations. Vivi is so kind and polite and nothing but welcoming with every interaction, close to the beach with some really nice food venues. we also got to meet Muffy, Vivis little dog, super cute and respectful dog, always keen to chase a toy, but in no way invasive to our stay. 10/10 reccomend shower and bathroom really clean, clean and tidy bed.

We had a fantastic stay at Bonnie’s property! The location is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views and a peaceful creek running nearby — the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. Our dog loved the open space to run and explore too. The home itself is clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay — from a well-equipped kitchen to a cozy living area. As mentioned in other reviews, there is another property next door, but it wasn’t intrusive at all. We still had plenty of privacy and quiet. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind in nature with great places to explore within short distances and a scenic drive.

This is our second time staying at Pierre’s beautiful home for our family of 5. The location is amazing, with spectacular views and beautiful sunsets. The kayaks are a bonus and our kids have loved fishing. The house has a lovely warm, inviting and relaxing feel. We just loved everything about our stay and hope to come back again soon.

Celebrated a birthday with some close friends, was an amazing place to stay. So close to everything we needed/ wanted to do.

We came to stay here for a long weekend to recharge our batteries and shake off some urban stress. It was exactly what we needed. The accommodation was comfortable and cosy and although it was not far out of the way from the rest of the shire, it felt like we were in a private sanctuary. The property is so beautiful, the kids are already begging to go back. The hosts were wonderful and clearly love to provide a great experience for their guests with many additional touches that elevated our stay.

The River House is in a fantastic location with beautiful views and easy walking distance to a great cafe, the bowling club, the river and the ocean/beach. The house is perfect for a family group with 4 x double/queen/king bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is an overhead fan/s in all areas. The kitchen is small but well equipped and very functional. We had poor weather during our stay but were warm, dry and very comfortable and plan to visit again. I would recommend the River House unreservedly.
