Our lovely studio is a large peaceful room. Patio doors open to your own pretty cottage garden where there is outdoor seating for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. Its a perfect retreat for two after a days adventures in the heart of the Jurassic coast. Close to beaches and a few mins walk from both the local pub serving food and train station, popular sites such as Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World and Wareham quay are only a 5 min drive away! The Old Bakery Blue Room. Ottery St. Mary.

The Blue Room is in what was an old bakery, now pottery, on Paternoster row, in the ancient Devon town of Ottery St. Mary. One antique double bed., The sea at Sidmouth is about six miles away. Glorious countryside, walking cycling, antique hunting and just relaxing. Loads of places to explore, Pubs and Inns to find, Ancient Mediaeval Church, Famous Poet and the Burning Tar barrels. We now have a Beaver family creating great interest on the river Otter. There is a safe pace to keep bicycles.

This room is light, large and comfortable with a beach theme; Chesil beach is only 4 minutes walk away whilst the world famous Portland Harbour is only 8 minutes walk in the other direction. TV, Tea and coffee making facilities are in the room and there is exclusive use of a bath/shower room. Breakfast of toast, cereals fruit etc is provided and excellence and quality are the aim. The host is very flexible, so if you have any dietary needs or preferences, it will be a pleasure to oblige.

Your staircase leads to a working area and your private bathroom & bedroom. The gardens are beautifully maintained & fully available. At dusk you may even see the badgers who live in the meadow. The area is surrounded by amazing country pubs, restaurants, walks & cycle routes with country houses & wildlife sanctuaries.

The windows overlook the village duck pond and spring and pretty waterfall. There is parking, for your car, at your door. We're in a Dorset village with Trafalgar history, centuries old church, busy pub. The coast is only a couple of miles away. We are on the Dorset Coastal Path and the SSSI Jurasic Coast. £7.50 for a full Dorset breakfast. Evening meal £7 to £12.
