The LaurelHurst is a charming farmhouse, 125 years old but impeccably kept, in the middle of the walkable village of Hillsboro. Debbie greeted us as we arrived and helped us get settled. The room is large and comfortable, with a nice view out the window. We stayed there as a halfway point riding the Greenbrier River Trail. The only drawback about biking there is the 250' hill climb up from the trail to Hillsboro. But it's well worth it for the great value and hospitality.

Sheila met me at the door of her beautiful home upon arrival. She was friendly and welcoming. My space was immaculate and spacious. Had everything I needed and more. Appreciated the cookies and muffins especially with an early start. Throughout the process communication was exceptional. A real 5* gem.

I've stayed with Carolyn a hand-full of times now, and as usual, she was the greatest airbnb host! She communicates well, is reachable, extremely hospitable, flexible, and really makes you feel at home and as if you're a member of her family. The space is very clean, well furnished, and private. Great clean bathroom which includes a jetted tub. Carolyn offers great conversation and is truly the best host Airbnb has to offer. I'm looking forward to the next opportunity to stay at her home!

It was a HUGE plus that the home was extremely welcoming and cozy once my family and I arrived. It felt as if I had walked into our own home with a sense of peace. It was extremely clean and smelled very nice. The beds were very comfortable and great pillows to go with them. Lance was amazing with communication and going the extra mile if needed. My SUV’s back brakes started to act up the night of arrival and Lance was able to point me in the right direction to get them fixed for a reasonable price. Being out of town and something happens to your vehicle can be extremely stressful; however, he was able to help my family enjoy our stay and not worry so much. My family enjoyed many home cooked meals and shared so much laughter while embracing our time together. I would highly recommend this home to anyone for a great place to stay and cherish the moments with family and friends. Thank you Lance for everything!!!

Every time I stay there the place gets better. Shirley truly want you to be comfortable.

We got in at around 10 PM. The host was awake and greeted us promptly. We were shown the unit and made sure that we knew where all the various controls and appliances were. The area itself was extremely quiet. The rooms were comfortable, the space was clean, and stay was very pleasant. If you are extremely adverse to meeting other people, or talking to your hosts in person, this might not be the property for you. That being said, the owners were an absolute delight, and I have zero problems recommending them and this space to anyone.

Vielen lieben Dank, dass wir bei euch ein paar Tage übernachten konnten. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, die Zimmer waren sauber und das nötigste (Kaffee, Filter, Kaffeemaschine, Salz,…) war bereits vorhanden. Sogar eine Schale mit Obst und Schokolade stand für uns bereit. Danke, dass ihr uns so lieb umsorgt habt! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! ♥️

A wonderful experience! The home is clean, beautiful, and in a safe area. Felt very classic Airbnb. Hinton is a cute town with great views of the river and the mountains. Joel kept beautiful gardens and provided a light variety of breakfast foods in the morning. Would definitely stay again!

Their home is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. I love hearing the birds from the window, room was cozy and peaceful, clean and felt safe and welcomed. I will be back when I don’t have my woof 🐾 with me. Thank you for the peaceful stay.
