Opposite an old church with views across the valley it offers an an ideal getaway with walks in every direction and outdoor activities (canoeing, climbing, horse riding) further afield. Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

The Garden House is a peaceful stone cottage set in the historic gardens of High Glanau Manor, the home of H. Avray Tipping (1855-1933) the Architectural Editor of Country Life Magazine from 1907. High Glanau Manor is an important Arts & Crafts house set in 12 acres of gardens designed in 1922. The gardens retain many original features including formal terraces, octagonal pool, glasshouse, pergola and 100 ft long double herbaceous borders. There are spectacular views to the Brecon Beacons

The cottage is light and airy with lovely period features.It has a bright dining area overlooking the garden and a fully equipped kitchen. The cottage has two bedrooms with crisp cotton bedlinen and luxury mattresses to ensure a good nights rest. One bedroom has a King size bed, the other has a single bed. Walk in shower in bathroom. Cwm Farm Cwtch, is a homely cottage set on a farm in Pontsticill, Merthyr Tydfil. You can enjoy the fantastic views and scenery, take a walk around our farm and interact with the animals (donkeys, chickens, dogs). Situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park, The Cwtch is in a perfect location for a number of activities, e.g Brecon Mountain Railway, Bikepark Wales, Morlais Golf Course, River fishing and lots more. There are a number of pubs in the village that serve food and local beers.

Granary Cottage 2 - Brecon Beacons National Park

Granary Cottage is set in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park between Merthyr Tydfil and Brecon. The cottages is on the Taff Trail walking and cycling route, close to Pen y Fan, The Brecon Mountain Railway and Bike Park Wales. The cottage sleeps 4 in a double and a twin room with a shared bathroom. Downstairs is an open plan area with fully equipped, kitchen, comfy sofas and an open fire.
