Plenty of games and books etc for the young ones. Carrick Bay has plenty of opportunities to fish, swim, walk, cycle, sail, canoe, windsurf or paddle board. Or of course just chill with a cold drink and stargaze. Friday check in, 3 night minimum booking in winter months and minimum 7 days from April to November.

We are a five minute drive to Castle Douglas where there are supermarkets and restaurants, and on the outskirts Threave Gardens ( NTS ).

Netherthird was fully renovated in 2020 and has been lovingly furnished to ensure a truly comfortable and welcome family retreat. There is an amazing barbecue hut, with charcoal barbecue and ample seating, perfect for enjoying with friends and a glass or two of wine. Relax in the large hot tub taking in the clear dark skies at night.

Just a few minutes walk into the regions 'food town' The Pink House is a great base for exploring all our beautiful region has to offer. Traditionally decorated to give a real Scottish country cottage feel, the cottage is perfectly located for walkers and cyclists as well as those looking for a quiet break but like to be near local amenities.

We are between 10/30 mins from 3 of the 7stanes cycling trails and 6 miles from several beaches or hills for walking. You are 5 mins drive away from the market town of Castle Douglas.

Two miles outside Castle Douglas food town, embedded amongst lovely local walks and attractions. We are also only 6 miles from the gorgeous town of Kirkcudbright with a range of lovely shops and eateries at the harbour front. This is the perfect peaceful and cosy getaway!
